I've seen some pieces that I thought weren't as strong as others but it seems like he really "gets it", most of his art has a quality that feels right, that seems like he captured something worth capturing, and that he captured the right parts about it.

If I had time to get good at painting (maybe someday), I don't think I would paint in this genre but I enjoy it. I think I have things to express, he doesn't seem to be trying to express anything other than maybe appreciation for the everyday beauty of the world? Good job Monet. Break time, sheesh.
