Took a moment to class up my desk. I think it looks pretty spiffy; what you think @thelinuxcast ?

Outside of not having Newsboat (for the time being), I think I have my #MangoPi set up how I want it.
I think it looks pretty snazzy. Gotta give a shout out to @thelinuxcast for having a Lynx friendly website

@linuxHas anyone tried the #Ptyxis terminal program that is apparently going to become the default, or at least the recommended program, in both Fedora and Ubuntu? There is a discussion at "Ptyxis Becomes Ubuntu's Recommended Replacement To GNOME Terminal" https://www.phoronix.com/news/Ubuntu-Ptyxis-Recommended
Those who are into programming might not like it much because it doesn't have all the bells and whistles programmers expect, but for people who just want to access their home servers or something like that it's probably more than adequate. What I am wondering is has anyone else experienced the issue of controls and dropdowns being almost unreadable because of the low contrast text and icons used?
(Also, if you read through the issue tracker at https://gitlab.gnome.org/chergert/ptyxis/-/issues especially the "closed" issues, you find some, um, "interesting" responses by the author. I wonder if this is essentially a one person project and he is imposing his design choices and just closing reports by anyone who doesn't agree with his choices, or if maybe he is truly overwhelmed by the number of reports he has received).
Hope maybe someone will do a review of this at some point because I'd love to know if I;m the only one who thinks it maybe should have been kept in the oven a while longer before being accepted by #Fedora and #Ubuntu .

@[email protected] Good video by @thelinuxcast about #TilingWindowManagers. I’ve been thinking about trying one out, & Matt’s demonstration certainly helped. His use of workspaces instead of windows is similar to what I’ve been trying out in GNOME, just with keyboard shortcuts instead of trackpad gestures… 🤔
Think I might have to throw #Manjaro #i3wm on a spare SSD and give it a whirl.
#macOS used to be the #DarkSide. Then it was #Linux. Now I think TWMs might be the TRUE “dark side.”

Per @thelinuxcast I am now “offically” an @opensuse #fanboy ‘cause I get them stickers.
The hat and backback are just “bonus” fanboy stuff 🤣
#Slowroll #Linux -
Hey @thelinuxcast does this make me a bigger @opensuse #fanboy than you? 🤣
BTW, stickers are coming in the mail 😬 -
Per @thelinuxcast, if you have a sticker that makes you a #fanboy; well if that the case I am happy to be a @ultramarine fanboy 🥳

I came across GNU Stow as a way of organising dotfiles in an interview between Matt from @thelinuxcast and Linkarzu on YouTube.
If you’ve ever struggled to manage your dotfiles across different systems, GNU Stow could be the elegant solution you’ve been looking for. In my latest post, I explain how using Stow to reorganise my dotfiles made my setup cleaner, more modular and easier to reproduce.
