La mia fidata production machine (ThinkPad E15 Gen 3) è finalmente aggiornata alla mitica AVL-MXe di Glen McArthur (versione 25.2 "Ease") - per me la migliore distro esistente per la produzione multimediale.
Nello screenshot il mio nuovo browser preferito, Floorp, e Ardour 9 (thank you @x42 !)
Prossimo passo: riuscire a sfruttarla anche per un setup in desktop remoto che mi permetterà di continuare a usare il glorioso PackardBell da 10" (con processore Atom e 1Gb di RAM) come thin (o thick) client...

i used to do ALL my music production in #Ardour + jack and friends; and ALL my video editing in #Cinelerra
and i never properly learned another DAW and i never learned to edit in anything for macos or windows other than strings of ffmpeg filters
being off of #linux (and lacking the space for a desktop) has been holding me back artistically for years now and it’s depressing as heck

Je me demandais plutôt s'il y avait une communauté #kdenlive active sur mastodon.
Le #montageVidéo a beau être une activité solitaire. Je me disais que ce serait sympa de créer l'échange de #connaissance dont je rêvait, il y a 20 ans, quand j'ai fais mes premiees montage avec Pinacle et les 10 dernières années passées avec #kdenlive, #openshot, #cinelerra, etc.
Mais je réitère mon offre de vous aider au montage des @rhl 😇

In my life I did audio-recording on AmigaOS, Windows 98, Linux Ubuntu, Mint and Manjaro and I've got the feeling I've finally found the OS that fits my audio-needs. Hier ist auch eine Stimme für #Shotcut . Es ist bei mir aber schon mal abgestürzt, aber die Wiederherstellung war so gut, dass es keine Probleme gab.Eine weiterführende Frage:
Hat jemand von euch Erfahrung mit #cinelerra für den #videoschnitt ? Es läuft nur unter #Linux , ist sehr mächtig und nach meiner Wahrnehmung sehr kompliziert. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn mir jemand bestätigen würde, dass sich die Einarbeitung in das #Videoschnittprogramm lohnt, weil es richtig gut ist. :-) -

Debido a la contingencia he visto como muchos músicos se han visto en la necesidad de “digitalizarse”, así que estoy promoviendo estas clases.
Es una alternativa poco conocida frente al duopolio de los sistemas operativos mas comunes; Windows y Mac OS, y los respectivos software de producción sujetos a pago de licencias.

I've managed to install and run Cinelerra-GG from AUR on Manajro!
First impression: *why is this opening 4 windows instead of one window with panels?!*
Also - by default the windows overlap and I had to resize them to be able to see all the toolbars (I guess it didn't take window decoration into account). Is it supposed to be used with a tiling window manager or what?

I've heard marvelous things about OpenShot as well!
I used #Blender with blender velvets to edit the first video. I didn't like the result so I switched to #kdenlive. I'm enjoying kdenlive quite a lot right now and I'm very happy with the result!
I eventually try OpenShot someday!
I wanted to try #cinelerra but I was not able to compile it on ppc64le so not using that one at the moment :sadcatstarry:
