Google Play System Update (March 2025) rolls out for Samsung devices
Google Play System Update was a feature that was introduced for devices that ship with Android 10 or newer. It’s mandatory for device manufacturers that plan to release their devices with Android 10 to support Google Play System Updates. As a result, non-Google devices, such as Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets released with Android 10 (One UI 2.1), can receive such updates, too.
These updates don’t require security updates from the manufacturer to work, as Project Mainline modules work independently to give you better experience with Android phones and tablets.
On March 27th, a new Google Play System Update has been pushed to Samsung devices. This update upgrades your Project Mainline modules to the March 1st, 2025 version. This update weighs around 61 MB.
To be able to get this version, follow these steps:
- Go to your device’s settings
- Open the security settings
- Find “Google Play System Update” and tap on it
- If everything goes OK, you should see the below update dialog:
Click on Download and Install, wait for it to download, then reboot your device by clicking on the blue Restart button. The next time your device boots up, the revised update gets installed, so it’s going to take about 3 minutes maximum to install all the updates.
There is no progress bar, so don’t panic if it looks stuck. Your device will eventually boot up. Now, open your settings app and check your Google Play System Update. If everything is well, you should see March 1st, 2025 below the appropriate button.
In case your device didn’t receive the update, wait for a few days, and it will be available shortly.

iOS 19 — nowa aplikacja do gier i szybszy transfer eSIM
Apple ogłosi nową aplikację do gier, która zadebiutuje wraz z iOS 19. To jedna z wielu nowości, która czekają nas jesienią, a które zobaczymy podczas WWDC 2025 już 9 czerwca.
Apple przygotowuje dedykowaną aplikację gamingową, która zadebiutuje wraz z systemem iOS 19 i będzie dostępna również na iPadzie, Macu i Apple TV — donosi Bloomberg. Nowa aplikacja ma zastąpić dotychczasowe Game Center i oferować dostęp do gier, osiągnięć, rankingów, treści redakcyjnych oraz komunikacji między graczami.
Nowość zostanie zaprezentowana podczas WWDC 2025 (9 czerwca), a oficjalna premiera nastąpi we wrześniu. Aplikacja będzie wspierać gry z Apple Arcade i App Store, a na Macu umożliwi również zarządzanie tytułami spoza Mac App Store.
Celem Apple jest uproszczenie dostępu do gier i stworzenie jednego centrum rozrywki na wszystkich urządzeniach.
iOS 19 ułatwi przenoszenie eSIM z iPhone’a na Androida – koniec z dzwonieniem do operatora?
Według Android Authority natomiast, iOS 19 może wprowadzić funkcję umożliwiającą bezprzewodowe przenoszenie eSIM z iPhone’a na smartfon z Androidem. Obecnie taka migracja wymaga kontaktu z operatorem, ale nadchodząca aktualizacja może to uprościć.
Nowa opcja „Transfer to Android” miałaby pojawić się w ustawieniach iPhone’a: Ustawienia > Ogólne > Przenieś lub wyzeruj iPhone’a. Apple może rozszerzyć działanie funkcji eSIM Quick Transfer, dotąd dostępnej tylko między iPhone’ami. W przypadku problemów z połączeniem przewidziano też możliwość użycia kodu QR.
Funkcja została odkryta w becie systemu Android 16, w aplikacji Google SIM Manager. Jej uruchomienie wymagać będzie jednak systemu iOS 19.
Kiedy zadebiutują wersje beta nowych systemów?
Apple oficjalnie zaprezentuje iOS 19 podczas WWDC 2025, które rozpocznie się w poniedziałek 9 czerwca. Tego samego dnia, zgodnie z wieloletnią tradycją, iOS 19 beta 1 dla deweloperów powinna zostać udostępniona zaraz po zakończeniu Apple Event.
Oprócz iOS 19, Apple pokaże też iPadOS 19, macOS 16, tvOS 19 i inne systemy. Nowe wersje mają przynieść m.in. Apple Intelligence, zmiany wizualne i funkcjonalne.
Publiczna beta iOS 19 będzie dostępna później – najprawdopodobniej pod koniec czerwca lub w lipcu. Wczesne wersje mogą zawierać błędy i niepełne funkcje, więc Apple nie zaleca instalowania bety na głównym urządzeniu.
