#sony #updated my #xperia5v & messed up my display with big icons & a stupid search bar I did not want & did not even reconnect the vpn automatically afterwards. I am sorry but Sony phone #updates are just rubbish & create a hatred of lazy products that is the worst advertising one can possibly have for one's product. Automatic customer annoyance via updates. Supporting niche consumer phones is a fools' game. @Sony GET A GRIP & Shame on your perfectionistic Japan tech heritage.

#sony #xperia5v #Video #camera start button does not work. Press it once and nothing happens. Wait & it might start filming. Press it again & it might stop filming. Device is driving me potty. Could be storing on #SDcard is causing trouble, but that would be new. Changing to internal storage improved nothing. Got my wife an iphone and I might cave & upgrade to that just to be able to take decent films and photos. Sorry Sony but you really did have a chance. 130 million Americans can't be wrong.

#xperia5v after 6 months: gets hot when filming and camera shoot button does not react fast which is really bad. The automatic lighting adjustment is really slow. Impossible to take shots of things where there is a bright sky as well as darker foreground e.g. sky or electronics with LEDs on. The GUI plays up more and more - nothing crashes really but shows signs of iffy software GUI design e.g. screen goes snowy. Would not buy again if that stays like that in new versions.

#xperia5v #Android13 Has a strange menu #dynamicvibration, see below that results in, when on, the phone vibrating in time to audio during playback of e.g. a you tube video. It seems to have activated itself. Off is best.

#xperia5v first automatically triggered #update on 25-10-2023 of #Android13 to 60.0.9.A.6.75. No info found about what the changes were.

New #xperia5v model #qxde54 #android13 After one month. While using #firefox #118point2point0 to watch #youtube phone #beeped #beep and screen went black. Power switch activated phone display without restart being required. I did a restart anyway and all is fine. Never experienced this on any other smartphones e.g. samsung.

well I get pink bands not bluer with angle change on my #xperia5v

#xperia5v EU version has pathetic 128Gb built in #storage of which 40Gb is used up by the system and apps at the outset. But it fabulously 💪 allows you to insert and use an #SDcard, recommending V30 fast cards to avoid problems. BUT when I instruct the video and camera app to use the SD card, the data files are seemingly ALSO stored on the internal drive?! A 3min HD 3840 x 2160 video is ~ 1Gb so this would be a major disaster. But this is an artefact of the finder app.... 1/2

#xperia5v White display has pink and red hues when viewed at a slight angle. Had to switch to hated dark mode to not go nuts.

#xperia5v One microphone mode (voice priority rear) in video camera records only strange noise and not the speaker.

Pienten superpuhelinten sarjaan tiukasti asettuva, vain 68mm kapea "suklaapatukan muotoinen" uutuus tarjoilee pitkälti sitä, mitä osattiin odottaakin:

Snapdragon 8 gen 2 -järjestelmäpiiri, 8GB RAM-muistia, ainakin paperilla loistavat kamerat, 3,5mm kuulokeliitännän ja muistikorttituen.

Merkittävin muutos on kuitenkin siinä, mitä puhelimessa *ei* ole: telekamera on tiputettu pois, jolloin ero Xperia 1 V -malliin on selkeämpi kuin aiemmissa sukupolvissa.

Hintalappu on tutusti Sonyn premium-tasoinen eli 999 euroa. Mutta samalla uutuus on tälle vuodelle vasta toinen alle 7cm kapea puhelin - koko maailmassa - eli pienempää luuria etsivän kannattaa perehtyä uutuuteen.
