@ChrisMayLA6 I got a very late reply to the letter I sent to #DanielZeichner (MP for Cambridge) about this and a couple of other topics. The short version:
He is fully on board with selling out the creative industries to US billionaires, has completely bought into the lies about the importance of AI to the UK economy, and thinks that giving control of all communication to Musk and Zuckerberg will make children safer somehow.
Labour really needs to find some candidates with the ability to think through the consequences of their actions and to listen to their constituents and not lobbyists.
I am tired of the only candidates for MP who are aligned with my ideals being the ones too useless to actually act towards their own professed goals.

@ChrisMayLA6 I think you are absolutely right. Part of the problem is , that the political parties often argue the same way: “Vote for us, if you don’t want that!”. Why? Because it’s winning the next election. It is apparently a self supporting process, as at the same time, a party with a clear positive vision and message gets pushed aside. All over #europe we see even more unstable #governments and even faster cycles of #elections. In German we call it a #Teufelskreis or “Devils Circle”

@ChrisMayLA6 and I see that the relevant civil service nupties have taken a lesson from the DWPs treatment of the #waspiwomen and sent many of their individual notifications to the lawyers of those affected, but without any names or other PI, claiming it's for reasons of data protection, so that the lawyers can't forward this to those affected.

@ChrisMayLA6 @alantperry I'm obviously biased but this is why #apprenticeships are so good.
Sure, the degree classification still hangs on the same spread/calculation of grades, but unless there is adequate evidence of occupational competence in work they can't complete the programme, so all the things that are useful/important to employers need to be addressed, not just the things that win them the shiniest trinket.

@ChrisMayLA6 Though no party has really understood and if they have believed in the solution for a century: the #SingleTax on land and other economic rents, simultaneously reducing the cost of living, and the housing crisis, while turbo-charging production and labour's share of it! Perhaps because their preferred solutions require politicians to "ride to the rescue" whilst all the time making the problems worse!
