Ian Murray, Labour MP for Morningside in Edinburgh is inviting complaints from WASPI women who feel they've been denied justice.
I hope he is inundated.
I'm sure the date of 2019 is neither here nor there...

Unpopular opinion: I think the government are right not to pay compensation to WASPI women. It would indeed not be a good use of taxpayer cash. Most of them had oodles of notice that the system was changing.
Maybe those born 1953-1955 who were caught out by the 2011 changes have a better case: I wonder if there will be a compensation scheme just for them?
Though of course you are all right to criticise the government for breaking their pre-election promises.

I received a letter from DWP on Saturday. They very kindly wrote to tell me of changes to the winter fuel payment. Such a shame they didn't bother to write to tell me that they were taking six years of my pension #waspiwomen
The letter was addressed to me with my maiden name. I have used my married name for over 21 years. It is the name my pension is paid to. Just what sort of record keeping does DWP use? -

@ChrisMayLA6 and I see that the relevant civil service nupties have taken a lesson from the DWPs treatment of the #waspiwomen and sent many of their individual notifications to the lawyers of those affected, but without any names or other PI, claiming it's for reasons of data protection, so that the lawyers can't forward this to those affected.

The charlatan comments of Dodd on #BBCLauraK where she wriggles out of Labour's once held decision in 2019 to compensate the #waspiwomen are explained in terms that the electorate rejected them in the GE.
Incredible.
She says, " The critical thing here is that the women are treated with respect and that lessons are learned"
I think we'd sooner have the money and leave the diaphonous platitudes for another day.
