  9. TIL that #fleekFunctions run in a "#Deno-based" runtime. This means that some #nodeJS APIs are not available ( `fs`, `os`, `child_process`), and presumably a few standard #Web APIs will be.

Also, functions are bundled by esbuild at deploy time, so you can use some #NPM dependencies.

Unfortunately, there's not a good local development, or remote debugging story yet though there is [a utility for outputting console messages to function responses: ](npmjs.com/package/fleek-functi)

  10. We are investigating to migrate to Deno or Bun for "Pendulums 2.0" and we will opensource it at early stages so you can selfhost it.

  11. Rewriting #LibResilient's tests in #Deno (from NodeJS and Jest) not only helps me write cleaner code and get rid of the mess that npm dependencies are, but also it helps me understand #JavaScript better, it seems.

In a number of places (in tests and in code they test) it forced me to actually *understand* some quirk of the language and re-write stuff in a cleaner, more unambiguous, easier to debug way.

Can't wait for the rewrite to be done so that I can remove the last bits of npm crap!
