On 29 June 2026, six social work colleagues were shot dead in Stade – an act that has deeply shaken the entire social sector.
We wish to use this tragic event as an opportunity to discuss the topic of ‘protection against violence in the workplace in social work’ together.
Let us draw on our own experiences to discuss how effective protection strategies and risk assessments can be established within our organisations.
Together, we want to find ways to become professionally and politically capable of taking action in this area, without resorting to authoritarian pseudo-solutions.

Am 29. Juni 2026 wurden in Stade sechs Kolleg*innen aus der Sozialen Arbeit erschossen – eine Tat, die den gesamten sozialen Bereich zutiefst erschüttert.
Dieses tragische Ereignis wollen wir zum Anlass nehmen, um uns gemeinsam über das Thema "Gewaltschutz am Arbeitsplatz in der Sozialen Arbeit" auszutauschen.
Lasst uns anhand unserer eigenen Erfahrungen diskutieren, wie wirksame Schutzkonzepte und Gefahrenanalysen in den Einrichtungen etabliert werden können.
Gemeinsam wollen wir Wege finden, wie wir hierbei professionell und politisch handlungsfähig werden, ohne auf autoritäre Scheinlösungen zu setzen.

Moabit Prison and the murder of Ferhat Mayouf
Talk and discussion on state violence and abolitionist perspectives.
On 23 July 2020, Ferhat Mayouf died of smoke inhalation in Moabit Prison.
That was murder – murder committed by this state and its racist institutions!
Oppressive, racist and violent conditions are found in every aspect of our lives and society.
In prison, these conditions are more extreme and, at the same time, invisible to the outside world.
That is why it is all the more important for those of us on the outside to stand in active solidarity with the prisoners!
No Justice, No Peace!
Come along to our event on Wednesday, where we will discuss Ferhat’s case and the role of prisons in society, and explore how we can organise against them!
Our guests will be the Initiative in Memory of Ferhat Mayouf and Vanessa Thompson.

Vortrag und Diskussion zu staatlicher Gewalt und abolitionistische Perspektiven.
Am 23.7.2020 starb Ferhat Mayouf im Knast in Moabit an einer Rauchvergiftung.
Das war Mord - Mord durch diesen Staat und seine rassistischen Institutionen!
Unterdrückerische, rassistische und gewaltvolle Verhältnisse finden sich in allen Facetten unsere Lebens und der Gesellschaft.
Im Knast sind diese Verhältnisse extremer und gleichzeitig nach außen unsichtbar.
Daher ist es umso wichtiger für uns, die hier draußen sind, in aktiver Solidarität mit den Gefangenen zu stehen!
No Justice, No Peace!
Kommt zu unserer Veranstaltung am Mittwoch, bei der wir über den Fall von Ferhat und die Rolle von Knästen in der Gesellschaft reden und vorstellen, wie wir uns dagegen organisieren!

Freedom for Maja!
Maja has been in solitary confinement in Hungary for over a year now, since her unlawful extradition.
Maja is accused of attacking several neo-Nazis together with other anti-fascists.
In protest against the humiliating and degrading conditions of her detention, Maja has resorted to one of the few means of self-determination still available to her in this situation and has been on hunger strike for over a month. Maja's condition is becoming increasingly critical and life-threatening.
This willingness of the German government to cooperate with the Hungarian government once again highlights the precarious nature of the ‘free democratic basic order’ that is used to justify rearmament.
In the wake of increasing internal militarisation and the expansion of the authoritarian state, such actions will increasingly become the norm for political prisoners.

Freiheit für Maja!
Seit über einem Jahr sitzt Maja jetzt nun schon seit der rechtswidrigen Auslieferung in Isolationshaft in Ungarn.
Vorgeworfen wird Maja, gemeinsam mit anderen Antifaschist:innen einige Neonazis angegriffen zu haben.
Gegen die erniedrigenden und unwürdigen Haftbedingungen hat Maja nun zu einem der wenigen Mittel der Selbstbestimmung gegriffen, die in dieser Situation noch bleiben, und befindet sich seit über einem Monat im Hungerstreik. Majas Zustand ist dabei zunehmend kritisch bis lebensgefährlich.
Diese Kooperationsbereitschaft der deutschen mit der ungarischen Regierung macht einmal mehr deutlich, auf was für unsicheren Füßen die "freiheitlich-demokratische Grundordnung" steht, mit der gleichzeitig die Aufrüstung begründet werden soll.
Im Zuge der zunehmenden Militarisierung nach innen und dem Ausbau der autoritären Staates wird ein solches Vorgehen immer mehr zur Normalität von politischen Gefangenen werden.

Anti-fascist Maja has been on hunger strike for 38 days and her situation is becoming increasingly critical!
Following nationwide protests, Foreign Minister Wadephul now seems to be taking action.
It's time to take the pressure right to his doorstep!
Come to the demonstration and subsequent protest camp in the centre of Berlin.
It starts on Sunday at 12 noon with a demonstration from Alexanderplatz (World Clock) to the Foreign Office.
