#MetaQuest experts:
I want to sell my Quest 3 & would prefer to surrender (for $$$) my Meta Horizon account (a ton of games & apps).
My Meta accounts were all connected (FB, IG) with my Horizon account. I’m in the process of disconnecting them.
Is there a way to COMPLETELY DIVORCE my Horizon account from all my other Meta stuff, and just surrender my Horizon account so I can sell it in a package deal with my Quest 3?

Havent talked about this,
but setting a #MetaQuest2 as #HDMI record screen is quite nice !
1) Enable dev mode (oh god metaaa)
2) Use Sidequest on pc (another account ?!)
3) Sideload USBCamera and FXFileExplorer

If you have the *slightest* interest in a #VR #Headset as #TV replacement:
Do it sooner than later.
This mq2 here is now configured and set up.
It works offline.
I had to go through
Many.. Maaaaany setup screens, logins etc.
If #Facebook / #Meta disables their servers this thing will be #technotrash ...

So I spent £200 to buy Meta Quest 2 specifically to play Assetto Corsa and after hours of getting it setup to work, courtesy of virtual desktop, even on low settings it makes my fan (not sure if CPU or GPU go wild, the screen goes black and I have to shut the PC down.
I don't even want to try again in case I damage some hardware and I because I bought it from Curry's I know it'll be an uphill struggle to get my money back.
If you think you know the solution. Do tell

My Ray-Ban Optics glasses are just slightly too big for my #MetaQuest2, so while they fit they always get caught in the facial interface which makes taking it off super awkward and you also get the issues of glare and stuff with an air gap between the lenses of the headset and the glasses sometimes.
The getting caught thing is even more of an issue as I upgraded the strap to the #KiwiDesigns one that lets you flip the headset up.
So I have another upgrade coming today: prescription lenses!

I needed 3 things. The 1st was a telephoto camera for #TheErasTour. The 2nd was a #3DVideo camera to relive the #TaylorSwiftErasTour in my #MetaQuest2. And the 3rd was a bigger screen #iPhone. Did any of you have had any issues with Pop OS and Steam VR, especially with an Oculus Quest 2?
I'm considering switching to, but not being able to use Steam VR and play PCVR games through Steam Link would be a major cons.

I’m still exploring my #MetaQuest2 and I just found out it has hand tracking, meaning you can choose to just manipulate virtual objects and press buttons etc with your hands, rather than the tracked controllers. I haven’t kept up on every feature and update that’s come out over the years, had no idea it was able to do that. Just tried it out and it works shockingly well, I will absolutely be using it for some of my more casual media consumption activities and stuff. Super neat #VR #Quest2

I got a #MetaQuest2 for Christmas. I’ve only dabbled with it so far as I’m with family so don’t want to spend much time isolated like that. But I had a quick look at Prime Video #VR just now and I’m very impressed. The sense of being in your own private big screen cinema is neat and there’s cool touches like the lights going out when the controls fade away.
And yes, I did use The Eras Tour Extended Trailer for the demo because OF COURSE I’m thinking about watching that in my own private cinema.

So I just hooked up my Apple Magic Keyboard to the Meta Quest 2 (not the 3, just the 2).
The experience is not too bad.
I can see why people feel right at home using a VR device like a desktop device. Hell they may even prefer it.

Properly setting up developer mode on a borrowed #MetaQuest2 is the worst tech experience I have had in the past 10 years. Did not even succeed in the the end. 🤷

I borrowed a #MetaQuest2 from a friend and the head strap was bad and gave me some discomfort (pain) in the neck and it was tricky to take on and off. My solution was to use a hat... Good news everyone, my latest invention FantasyHat2 is now ready to be used by anyone.
