Jutta Hipp with Zoot Sims
...and with Ed Thigpen (OK, @octothorpe ?).
Thigpen played with Hipp on the previous release I've posted with her, and given she only recorded in the US in 1954-57, and then stopped...well, there's just not a lot out there.
Having read up on her in the meantime, a rather tragic career...too bad.
But - this is great regardless. Also features Jerry Lloyd (trumpet), Ahmed Abdul-Malik (bass).

Count Basie/Joe Turner - The Bosses
Another late-period gem from Pablo (like you couldn’t tell, given the Pablo-esque cover), with Basie and crew backing up Turner in fine form. Blues front to back.
Band includes Zoot Sims & Eddie Davis (tenor), JJ Johnson (trombone), Harry Edison (trumpet), Ray Brown (bass), Irving Ashby (guitar), and Louie Bellson (drums).

#DemandezLeProgramme :
1962 - Zoot Sims & Al Cohn - Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club - London -
Update - the trombone player is Kai Winding. Not quite sure why his credit wasn’t in the main section…

Stan Getz & Zoot Sims - The Brothers
Very early (1949 / 1952) recording of Getz and Sims, along with Al Cohn, Allen Eager, and Brew Moore (all on tenor sax), Walter Bishop, Jr. (piano), Gene Ramsey (bass), and Charlie Perry (drums).
A very swinging set that sounds better than I’d expect, given its age. That’s FIVE tenors trading solos.
I assume no more could fit in the studio.
Side 1 of the LP sounds a bit like a needle drop to me...

Zoot Sims Quartet - Zoot at Ease
Zoot may have been at ease while playing this, but that's only because he's such a skilled reeds player.
Great set, great recording.
