  1. Wire - Read & Burn 03

This is where the original configuration of Wire came to an end, with the departure of Bruce Gilbert in 2004...released on vinyl for the first time.

I was fortunate to see them during the Send tour (the last with Gilbert) at the Middle East.

Anyway, it's Wire, it's great. Here's a video of 23 Years Too Late:

and an essay about the track by Colin Newman

  2. Note, too: there is an English Settlement preview during the performance, too: Moulding's Ball & Chain.

That makes some sense, given how much it sounds like it would have fit on Black Sea...

  3. Beak> - Live at Zebulon, Los Angeles, April 2nd 2025

Effectively the final Beak> release (following Beak>>>>), and their first (and last) live album, it draws from all four Beak> releases.

Geoff Barrow (drums, vocals), Billy Fuller (bass, vocals), and Will Young (keys, guitar) have an obvious love for Krautrock and ominous music, and I think this does a good job of capturing their different phases.

Sad that Barrow has left the band... sigh.
