Bill Evans - Behind the Dikes
One of the yearly RSD Evans release—this one from 2021. Basically, two concerts from 1969 in the Netherlands with Evans (piano), Eddie Gomez (bass), and Marty Morell (drums). Nice included booklet with interviews and photos.
Some unfortunate tape warble during the second concert, but good anyway!

Jutta Hipp with Zoot Sims
...and with Ed Thigpen (OK, @octothorpe ?).
Thigpen played with Hipp on the previous release I've posted with her, and given she only recorded in the US in 1954-57, and then stopped...well, there's just not a lot out there.
Having read up on her in the meantime, a rather tragic career...too bad.
But - this is great regardless. Also features Jerry Lloyd (trumpet), Ahmed Abdul-Malik (bass).

Juta Hipp - At the Hickory House (Volume 1)
I didn't know much Jutta Hipp when I purchased this, and it's a rather nice live set—her first for Blue Note—in a classic trio with Peter Ind on bass and Ed Thigpen on drums.
Hipp had a strangely short career...and undeservedly so, based on the evidence!

Bill Charlap Trio - Street of Dreams
To think I thought I’d never heard of Charlap, who has been around for a long time…and even plays on Steely Dan’s “Everything Must Go”. And given he’s played with lots of people I’ve heard…
Anyway, this is a well played, great sounding record, with nuanced accompaniment, highlighting Charlap’s touch and swing.

Aaron Parks - Invisible Cinema
It was nice to be able to replace my old, low-res iTunes version of this with a great new double-LP from Blue Note classics.
What to say about it? It’s definitely “modern jazz”, and while Parks is a pianist, his compositions give everyone in the group a chance to shine, with lots of melodic lines being tossed back and forth, and a good sense of dynamics.
For fans of Pat Metheny, I’d suggest.
