Part of the very enjoyable Pablo re-release series from Analogue Productions, this has two greats from different eras—Benny Carter (alto) and Dizzy Gillespie (trumpet)—playing with Tommy Flanagan (piano), Joe Pass (guitar), Al McKibbon (bass), and Micky Roker (drums).

A mix of styles and tempos from this sextet, and a nice listen.

"A Night in Tunisia" is a #musicalComposition written by American trumpeter #DizzyGillespie in 1942. He wrote it while he was playing with the #BennyCarter band. It has become a #jazzStandard. It is also known as "Interlude", and with lyrics by Raymond Leveen was recorded by #SarahVaughan in 1944.
