  1. Ah crap, I've been so overwhelmed and burned out on everything else I forgot that with the sunset of the #UBlockOrigin thing I need to find a new ad blocking solution for our staff. Shit.

What's everyone else using? Is this doable through Intune policy alone yet?

Hmm. This seems like a rather interesting set of domain names. They certainly seem auto-generated. I wonder if they're designed to work around adblock technologies downstream of javascript blocking by rotating domains quickly. But the domains are old! Or at least, the topmost .xyz one is. Current registration is from November 2025. Bigdomaindata.com query first picked it up in August of 2024. AND uBlockOrigin blocks me from loading the domain (it's on EasyList):

    19706903.xyz

    Which lists this GitHub issue:

    github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAsset

    Which references

    ad-shield.cc

Which uBO also blocks, but viewing shows:

    What Is This Domain?
    >
    >This domain provides authorized services through official partnerships with publishers. html-load.com supports the delivery of ads and essential web assets, helping digital publishers enforce access control to ad-supported content in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

So... yeah. It *is* an attempt to work around adblockers. It's just a shitty attempt.

  29. Issue: I browse the internets using Firefox, with JS disabled via #uBlockOrigin. Every time I visit a Mastodon instance, I have to manually enable JS for that URL.

Question: Can uBlock Origin detect Mastodon instances and enable JS for them automatically?

I will investigate this, but thought I'd post here as well.
