I noticed, among of recent #uBlockOrigin subreddit posts is about this POS. What I see, currently uBO team will defeat this POS up to 12-36 hours after reporting, while they stated they're looking for global rule implementation.

This POS are violating and disrespect user #choices, #privacy, & #security.

Replace Ads with They Live style slogans

A fork of uBlock Origin Lite that, instead of hiding cosmetically-blocked ads, replaces them with white tiles bearing slogans from John Carpenter's 1988 film They Live: OBEY, CONSUME, WATCH TV, SLEEP, SUBMIT, CONFORM, STAY ASLEEP, BUY, WORK, NO INDEPENDENT THOUGHT, DO NOT QUESTION AUTHORITY.

This brings a variety of changes and improvements, including the new filter options $top and $requestheader, and the new scriptlets freeze-element-property and prevent-navigation

This version adds a new filter option: $top
This filter option matches the domain of the top-most context.

This is different than $domain for an important reason.

$domain=example.com will match a request coming from example.com AND a request coming from an iframe of example.com on website.example

$top=example.com will only match on example.com; it will not match requests coming from an iframe of example.com embedded in another website.

I'm subscribed to too many filter lists in #pihole and #ublockorigin . It would be great if there was an easy way to show the duplicate entries so I can decide which lists are not useful (because everything is already in another list)

@teufelswerk für mich unverständlich, wie man damit Geld erwirtschaften kann. Die meisten Browser haben einen Werbeblocker vom Start an dabei - wenn man sie denn installiert. #Edge #Chrome #Safari haben diesen Blocker selbstverständlich nicht. Scheinbar gibt es aber noch genügend Nutzer die sich durch die vielen Werbebanner peinigen lassen anstelle selbst aktiv zu werden.

uBlock Origin will now show all injected content scripts on a page in the troubleshooting information.

@tripplehelix Spot on! DoH encrypts queries, so they do bypass Pi-hole’s visibility.

J'ai bien sûr toujours #uBlockOrigin installé, partout (Firefox sur mon ordi et sur mon téléphone) mais il ne me bloque pas les pubs à l'intérieur des vidéos de YouTube...
Il bloque tout sur des pages web et c'est parfait, mais pas dans YouTube (ou alors j'ai pas su comment le configurer, quels filtres activer pour qu'il le fasse).

Même si je préfère vivre dans une zone géographique où une régulation sur les données existe, il parait tout de même évident que ces dernières années #signal et consorts, #uBlockOrigin et consorts ont fait beaucoup plus pour la #ViePrivée que le #RGPD

Et après toutes ces années de régulation européenne, le bilan est tout de même bien maigre : les #CNIL traînent pour sanctionner des pratiques, pourtant ouvertement contraires aux règlements tant vantés...

#Autoplay #Videos starten sofort, #Werbung flackert zwischen dem Text, und die Seite lädt so langsam, als würde sie mit einem 56k #Modems aus dem Jahr 1998 kämpfen.
Und während du versuchst, den „X“-Button zu treffen, der sich ständig verschiebt, sammeln im Hintergrund 50 verschiedene #Tracker deine #Daten: Was du liest, wie lange du bleibst, wo du herkommst alles wird verkauft, analysiert und in irgendeine #Werbe #Datenbank gekippt.

Ohne #Blocker ist das #Internet nicht nur nervig, es ist aggressiv!
Du bist das Produkt, und jeder will ein Stück von dir!

Selbst wenn du denkst, „Ach, ich hab doch nichts zu verbergen“ es geht nicht um Geheimnisse, es geht um #datenschutz

Yup, https://kitchener.ca/ is broken for me in exactly the same way.

Note that I'm running #uBlockOrigin (adblocker). I'm not about to turn it off for the likes of them.

And I know of no #Fediverse presence for any local municipality.
