  1. Forget Cadillac Ranch, Try Slug Bug Ranch!

Most anyone passing through the Texas Panhandle city of Amarillo is familiar with world famous Cadillac Ranch on the west side of town. The art installation was completed in 1974.

Well, on the east side, also along I-40, is now Slug Bug* Ranch. Slug Bug Ranch is for all those VW Beetle aficionados who love to play with spray paint.

*For the uninitiated, “slug-bug” is a travel game where the first person to spot a VW Beetle calls out “slug-bug!” That person then gets to playfully punch (or slug) the other car occupants in the arm.

Other motor vehicle brands and several farm structures are also represented on the site. Below are a few photos of this “new” Amarillo roadside attraction. Peace!

p.s. Between Cadillac Ranch and Slug Bug Ranch, the richest person in Amarillo may be the local spray paint salesperson.

  7. Hi #portfolioday people. Nice to meet you.

I'm a Graphic Artist that resides mainly in the digital realm these days playing with vector nodes and pixels but I have been known paint and draw traditionally on occasion. I am hoping to be able to summon the energy to start drawing with pencil and paper again more routinely this year. Painting is also on the agenda once I have the space again.

This is a small sample of some old work ranging from 2017 to 2024 but I have a few years of unfinished work to deal with before I start sharing anything new.

I've been contemplating the idea of publishing some of my work physically or making them available as prints or to colour so stay tuned if you're interested.

Let me know what you think or if you have any questions feel free to ask.

    🙏

  10. BLOOD BROTHERS 2.0 – By Farid Rueda for COLORS FESTIVAL PARIS

Street Artist Farid Rueda “BLOOD BROTHERS 2.0” by Farid Rueda in Paris, France for COLORS FESTIVAL PARIS. Love Peace Union Farid Rueda: I don’t like it when art touches on political or social issues, on the contrary, I have always thought that the function and beauty of art is precisely to escape from reality, the possibility of glimpsing a better future or a different present. But how do I tell my hands not to paint what my heart and mind feel and think. This painting is not […]

Street Artist Paconer By Paconer in Presezzo, Italy. Paconer: Back to school! I had the great pleasure of painting what was my own elementary school many years ago. The work is a project that I had at heart both for the community of Presezzo and for myself that represents a synthesis of my personal path and a tribute to the local culture. 14. Lovesick in Germany (2 photos)

On Facebook. “Lovesick” by anonymous in Germany. Graffiti and street art can be an effective way to express emotions. The act of creating graffiti can be therapeutic, providing an outlet for the artist to process and express their feelings. It allow the artist to take control of public space and make a statement about the society and culture in which they live. The use of graffiti as a medium for self-expression can also serve as a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is […]
