If you ever happen to find yourself in Amarillo, TX (unlikely, I know, but here I am!), you should absolutely eat at It’s A Punjabi Affair. It’s so good! We would probably go out of our way to avoid Amarillo, except that we love this place.
It’s possible they’ve toned down their spice a little over the past few years, but my wife thinks it’s just me… (I got the extra spicy lamb curry, and found it delicious and a tiny bit tingly.)
Edit: I suppose a link to their website might be helpful… their menu’s changed a bit since the last time we were here, it used to be a little more traditional (dal instead of ‘detox lentils’…), but the food remains excellent! https://itsapunjabiaffair.square.site/

Forget Cadillac Ranch, Try Slug Bug Ranch!
Most anyone passing through the Texas Panhandle city of Amarillo is familiar with world famous Cadillac Ranch on the west side of town. The art installation was completed in 1974.
Well, on the east side, also along I-40, is now Slug Bug* Ranch. Slug Bug Ranch is for all those VW Beetle aficionados who love to play with spray paint.
*For the uninitiated, “slug-bug” is a travel game where the first person to spot a VW Beetle calls out “slug-bug!” That person then gets to playfully punch (or slug) the other car occupants in the arm.
Other motor vehicle brands and several farm structures are also represented on the site. Below are a few photos of this “new” Amarillo roadside attraction. Peace!
p.s. Between Cadillac Ranch and Slug Bug Ranch, the richest person in Amarillo may be the local spray paint salesperson.
