It turns out that there are 2 different "message formats" and they may sometimes be incompatible. Regular FT8 messages as (WSJT-X, JTDX, FT8TW, etc.), except CQ, of course, contain both THEIRCALL and MYCALL. WSJT-CB messages except for TX2 and CQ (TX6) are anonymous (no MYCALL). Some programs like FT8TW do not decode anonymous messages such as "68CL308 -17" or "68CL308 RR73" (WSJT-X does but... no caller! Manual intervention needed). WSJT-CB does not support Maidenhead locators. #CB #FT8

1977 U.S. pressingQuite the ridiculous record that I just couldn’t pass up, because it looked JUST like my kinda stupid.
Made for Radio Shack in the mid #70s , this is a collection of songs that all have a CB theme to them.
Rock, jazz, R&B, gospel, soul… this thing is ALL over the place, but all the songs drive down the Citizens Band 2-Way radio highway.
In all honesty, there’s some pretty good tunes on here. “Honey Bee (Please Answer Me)” by Randy Goodrum is a particular standout for me, as is “Everybody's Somebody (In Our C.B. World)” by Ed Bernet.
For only $1.00, I couldn’t go wrong.
Pretty entertaining shit, straight down to the “Index Of Terms Used By CB’ers” on the back cover.10-4, good buddy.

Using an "impossible" ham call sign "0L1VA" (which reads like "oliva"="olive") and called CQ on #CB #ch26 USB, #FT8, using FT8TW on my Android phone, holding it close to my President Jack and the microphone, and PTTing manually, using legal (12W) power and a vertical wire. In about 20 min., I worked someone the fake DL call sign DI1XDX, and six more stations: 19DC968, 13KA44, 19NL965, 19AT208, 19PD01 and 35HN90 (Germany, the Netherlands and Austria). Their calls got hashed, mine did not need to.

Ca date un peu mais vu que déjà proposé y'a quelques années et que là, je reçois une courrier pour me dire "que vu qu'on a une relation de confiance" (ah bon ?), ben j'aurais une #carte à débit différé sans rien demander et que si je veux pas, alors je dois faire une démarche... C'est pas compliqué en soi mais ça m'énerve un poil.

It’s been a while since I last played with this, but I’m wondering if someone has a recommendation for a really good #SDR - receive only, a mix of #hamradio, #CB, #APRS…. Something with wide bandwidth so I could record say, all #FMRS or #GMRS channels at once, or listen to the whole #900Mhz #ISM band for #LoRA and #Meshtastic chatter.
I’d probably run it off a #RaspberryPi 500, so USB is preferred rather than PCI-E.

Today at the Pré Carrel (1340 meters above sea level / JN37OD / 12°C) with the radio to have some very friendly local QSO‘s. Today with the Jopix CB-514 radio for 11m QSO’s.
