Turns out, I'm supposed to let the glue sit for 30 minutes before applying the gold. My failure to follow directions caused the smearing you see but I learned and that's what's important.

This big ol #saguaro #cactus is home to a lot of stuff, most notably #cactuswren and #gilded #flicker. With all the recent rains we’ve had the arms were too heavy to support the damaged trunk. This old gal was centuries old and just crashed down sometime this week. The arms can weigh 1-3000 pounds and the entire body can hold 200+ gallons of water. Very cool plants. Also fell across part of the trail, so instead of windfall spruce and fir I have ancient cacti windfall to deal with #biketooter

This isn't our usual kind of framing.

A client wanted us to match a style of #framing but the gold moulding used in the frame was discontinued. We couldn't find anything remotely similar.

So I hand #gilded and toned a similar profile. Not an exact match, but pretty close. I'm pleased with the result.

The print was put between two pieces of anti-reflective glass so it appears to befloating
