Herein my 2011 disappointment with the reportage of a much younger Rachel Maddow after she delivered a curiously tepid report on the destruction by vandalism of Andres Serrano’s infamous Piss Christ art photo. The photo was a major flashpoint in the culture wars of the late 1980s, and she rather inexplicably reported on its destruction w/o naming it or explaining why it mattered.
