I'm not too sure about the "United" part - more like two parallel worlds.
This seems to me quite accurate - and predictive - as this was from 2024, at the beginning of #TrumpVirus Season 2.
Prescient.
This was, for most of our lives, a united country, in nominal ways, like sharing a love of #democracy #law, & " #justice for all" - Pre #TrumpVirus
Now there's a $uper #cult with #media & $ to reverse #truth & #sanewash #insanity
On the other side, those who accept #science and human rights.

Far too many #journalists in the mainstream media in the USA take a certain tinpot wannabe dictator's logorrheic incontinence seriously, and then sanewash it before putting it into sensible black and white serif text.
He's a rambling, dissembling, demented fool with the mentality and emotional development of a 5-year-old, but with less prefrontal cortex executive function.
He sits there drooling and wandering off on tangents - sometimes literally - and you report on him like he's an actual subject of real news.
For Pete's sake, this is a person who would spray-paint his own turds gold and tell you they're art.
Any news organization owned by a company worth a hundred million bucks or more ought to either rebooted top to bottom, or burned to the ground.

The orange #dementia patient is now #sundowning in the middle of the day.
The U.S. bond market - also known as Treasury bills, T-bills, or government bonds - got decidedly shaky this week after a period of growing uncertainty. Primarily because US #debt is exploding and it is becoming clear to even the dumbest observers that things cannot continue the way they are.
And the expression "If something can not go on forever, then it will stop" applies here, and what it means is the end of the US #dollar as the de-facto world reserve #currency.
So the US #Treasury has been doing more and more drastic actions to try to prop up that bond market. #Bessent, the new head of the Fed, started trying to massage the "yield curve" by buying back long-term bonds with funds from selling more short-term #bonds, and it worked for a hot minute. Then things got shaky again the next day.

This is a must-watch. Thank Dog for Jon Stewart. In it, he struggles with trying to #sanewash #LeonMuck's Nazi salute and states that the 6 richest men in America control all the news. That's not entirely true. There are still Indy Web sources like Mastodon and Indy news sources like @JonathanLarsen. So maybe the lesson here is to get off the corporate information teat and go Indy.

About pointing and laughing at Hair Füror and the 4th Reich: I’ve gotten a fair amount of pushback and how serious the moment is, and so on. All true enough.
If you don’t point and laugh, then you are #NORMALIZING him, just as the media does. If you don’t point out how none of this is rational, then you are helping to #SANEWASH him.
This is what they want and expect. #Laughter is our weapon, remember MAGA doesn’t understand humor, they take themselves seriously.

Apparenlty in the US, winning elections are all about who get the most senational media coverage and When #Kamla2024 was shiney and new and doing debates the media gave her a lot of attention, but now she's old news and doing boring campaigning and so the media is barely mentioning her. Meanwhile #Trump Worked a fake shift for less than an hour at a Mcdonalds and said that Hilter did good things. I can't remember the last memorable #harris2024 article I read. She's boring now because shes a functioning adult, while the press is goingout of of its way to #sanewash and sensationalize #TGF to the point that he sticks in people's minds way more. -
