I am always searching for #splitkeyboards. I think, I found a very good one: The #asus_rog Falcata: https://rog.asus.com/de/keyboards/keyboards/compact/rog-falcata/. Non-noisy switches, 75% layout with HOME and END key and some nice keyboard lightning.

The new displays for my Corne-ish Zen have arrived. I've had it for over three years, and everything is still working great, except for these two sunlight-phobic vampires ⌨️ :neofox_bongo:

My word, #splitkeyboards are so bloody expensive!

Although they do feel like an investment - it’s becoming rather uncomfortable during typing sessions.

Just finished assembling my 2nd corne wireless 2 weeks ago. This time it's only 36-keys
The whole [email protected] configuration is just so straightforward and nice.
The possibilities of bindings are so beautiful and easy to customise.

Since mid October 2023, noticing I was starting to have more and more #wristPain, which were lasting days instead of hours... I opted to give those fancy #ergonomic #splitKeyboards a chance, and after several research hours, I opted for the #ZSA #Moonlander, there were alternatives, but too far from what I was used to, was unsure and this was my final choice. (also found a good local used deal)

Since I was changing keyboard, why not use also a more ergonomic layout? So, I opted for a #shockTherapy and went with #Dvorak and used this combination ever since! My first days were quite.... a going back to when I was 7 years old, sub 10 wpm XD but after a couple of weeks, typing was not as humiliating as before and my speeds increased :)

From time to time, I recorded my progress on #Monkeytype and these at the bottom are 4 months of data, from a classical full size #qwerty at 110ish wpm to currently 60ish, with a constant increase week after week. I am not in a hurry, as my wrist pain vanished, and that was the final goal.. So I'm okay with half the speed and -95%ish pains :)

Hope this might prove useful to someone that is also considering this #journey or have this kind of #pain ^^

Nearly finished my #Cheapino build, and the left half works perfectly.

...just need to figure out why half the keys on the right side are triggering multiple keys...

Vor etwas über einem Jahr habe ich mit der #ZSAMoonlander meine erste geteilte Tastatur bekommen. Das war hauptsächlich eine Entscheidung aufgrund der Ergonomie. Heute könnte ich mir das kaum mehr anders vorstellen.
Dank etwas Starthilfe und Inspiration von @0x17 werde ich dann eine #CorneKeyboard zusammenbauen. Heute sind die letzten Teile angekommen. Naja abgesehen von Keycaps, die kommen später custom dazu 😁
Mal sehen, wann ich Zeit habe zu löten...

After owning Kinesis Freestyle Pro #keyboard for 2 years I finally managed to get hold of windows machine which allowed me to turn off the "toggle Fn" function. Massive improvement, I still don't love it but prefer it over any non-split kbd.

A work in progress... A week of leave meant I could do most of the soldering for a Sofle RGB split mechanical keyboard, pictured here with my "old" Afternoon Breeze.

It still needs some further white components to be added, like cables, reset buttons, knobs, and microcontrollers.

And then I'll build a second one for the office.

I'm enjoying the crisp white look, but am missing the extra keys my old keyboard had.
