When I watch shows like #StarTrek and #TheExpanse, outside of the sci-fi worlds in which they are set, humanity has a different quality than it does in present reality, in StarTrek at least from #TNG, #DeepSace9 and #Voyager, the people have their job within Starfleet, but beyond that they are not obsessed with what is trending, there is not much division among ranks everyone is fairly equal in life, and they pursue actual human growth and individual fulfilment without the pomp and circumstance we to in our world, and in The Expanse technology in where there is no shortage of, you have the Earthers and the Martians that are fairly civil towards one another even though they are vying for some sort of dominate place but not so much at the cost of everything, and the Belters who really tie the story together how they simply want equality and without them neither the Earthers nor Martians could be where they are, anyways when you look at all these groups of people from a #sociological lens, you see far more harmony across the divides and dare I say class's of people, through all the little events in these stories, unity and a unified outcome is what always shines, it is rather sad that in a #sci-fi #technology based space world humans are more connected to one another than here in a rather rudimentary techno-evolving reality, #Humans, what are they good for, because at the end of the day, after all the #news scrolling, and the #socialmedia posts, people are so disconnected from one another and their own selves, that it is hard to imagen that stories of hope unity transcendence and evolvement could ever even be conceived;
