  13. Are you on one of our Fedora immutable spins but want to try out the Fedora 39 Beta? You can rebase to the beta and rollback easily - here's a guide on how to do it!

Works for all immutable spins: Silverblue, Kinoite, Sericea, and Onyx. 👍

  15. When you're using one of Fedora's immutable spins like Silverblue, Kinoite, or Sericea, you aren't limited to just that desktop environment.

With ostree, you can easily rebase to another image, try it out, and switch back or to another image whenever you want!

  16. These mineral based Fedora desktops are all pretty cool

But where is the grooviest variant? baby!

  17. since that Sericea post last night kinda blew up,

GNOME is still very much my desktop of choice, and I do plan to keep my main PC on Silverblue

but Sericea is still really cool and I'll definitely keep it on the Pinebook for the foreseeable future

    #Fedora #Silverblue #Sericea #GNOME #Sway

  18. update 2: had an issue with the included terminal giving errors in toolbox, but that's fixed now

but anyway, unsurprisingly, runs a lot better than GNOME. I don't use the PBP too heavily, so I don't know how extensively I'll be testing out Sericea, but I think I'm gonna leave it on here for a while

  19. Also welcome the Sway spin to the Fedora Project! :fedora: 🤝 :sway:

Sway is a tiling window manager and drop-in replacement for i3, but with support for Wayland.

They also have Sericea, a Sway immutable desktop joining the ranks of Silverblue and Kinoite!

  20. TIL about #Fedora #Sericea, which like #Kinoite and #Silverblue has an immutable ostree base, but ships with the tiling window desktop #Sway out of box!
