Fascinating idea, though I can’t help but think it would just become some sort of attack vector of its own.

Also given the push towards immutable distros (which is a good and cool idea) I’d be very curious how this could actually be implemented.

I think this recent article does a pretty good job clarifying the differences between Immutable and Atomic Linux distros. Then explains why you may or may not want to try one out for yourself. Or a combination thereof.
