You own NOTHING with streaming and you're paying the artists almost nothing. There's only a few places left if artists don't provide a direct purchase option.

Personally I ditched Spotify for Bandcamp years ago once I understood the exploitation, plus I stream radio and YouTube for more new music, or actually visit an artist site. 1. It helps to state how much you're willing to spend publicly, so that artists can work out how much effort they need to put in. This also saves artists and you from being sucked into some kind of private bidding war.
2. What's your aim here? There may be more than one route to achieve your goal.

I experimented with it as I saw myself as an ideal 'moderate dunce at computers and drawing' but not a bad 'client' for commissioning.
The image was created by AI and the face substituted with a real picture of me, creating a seamless portrait. But the jacket is unreal.

As usual, Benn Jordan is spot on in this takedown of Spotify/streaming services. The bottom line is, they don't work. If you want to support music (or any art), the answer is give money directly to those artists, one way or another. Patreon, Bandcamp, KoFI-- hell find out the Venmo of the guy who makes the gifs you like and send him $10 for being awesome.

Julian Gough, who wrote the End Poem for Minecraft, says he owns the words because he refused to sign a contract.
Hmm.
This was by his own account work-for-hire and though he'd met the Minecraft creator Markus once he wasn't, despite the headline, his "friend".
He was paid $20,000, a lot for 9 pages regardless of the later billion dollar sale to Microsoft.
IANAL, but if this ends up in court I don't think he'll win.
