#UnitedHealthGroup says "a substantial proportion" of #Americans may have had their #personaldata #compromised in a February #cyberattack and is offering them free credit monitoring and #identitytheft protection.

#UnitedHealth care giant also disclosed that they #paid a ransom to the #penetrator in "hopes" of protecting #patientdata from #disclosure . A report in Wired magazine last month suggested it may have been $22 million.
