#Linuxmusician

Apparently Bitwig Studio's new sampler can get real BT with it with very little effort #Linuxaudio #Linuxmusician #Bitwig

(4/4) In particular for the new Hardware/Software Recipes (see: https://linuxaudio.dev/hardware-software-recipes/) I'd be grateful if some of you #linuxmusician (s) and #linuxaudio #developer (s) would be willing to share their setup with the community.
I'm happy to send you a Markdown template. Feel free to reach out at [email protected].
My heartfelt thanks to all of you! Take care! 🥹

Do any of you #linuxmusician (s) use Giada and can tell me whether or not it is worth a try?
-
Dear #linuxaudio enthusiasts and such who'd like to eventually become #linuxmusician (s). 🤗
I've just published a new #developer #interview.
This time, I spoke with Steffen Langenfeld about his #linux port of the MT-PowerDrumKit #plugin—a story I'd love to see repeated by other developer/vendor collaborations. 🥰

Models EP now available on Bandcamp!
https://kudzuplant.bandcamp.com/album/models-epRecorded directly into Ardour from my Elektron Model:Samples. These are some tunes that I have been meaning to get around to recording and releasing for awhile now but haven't had a functioning computer to do so. Pardon the bare Bandcamp page. Still getiing everything to an aesthetically pleasing state.

Are any of you good #linuxaudio or #linuxmusician humans thinking about buying a #bitwigstudio license?

Another big boost for #linuxaudio! 💪
I just submitted the entire rest of the now #linux native DDMF #plugin lineup to #linuxdaw.
Attached are just a few examples of some of the exquisite new tools now available to #linuxmusician (s) around the world. 🙏

I had the chance to speak to #linuxmusician and #linuxdj Rhizome Industrie in the latest LAD #interview. 😎
Since he didn't switch to #linuxaudio for #musicmaking from another platform, but rather started #musicproduction with Linux, he shares an interesting perspective on making music with our beloved #opensource #operatingsystem.

Now that #VST is completely #opensource I asked Steve Duda if he would consider adding #Linux support to #Serum.
This was his reply.

@fortifieduniverse I have now implemented lists for developers and artists without further ado. 😎
https://linuxaudio.dev/linux-audio-developers
https://linuxaudio.dev/linux-audio-artistsLet me know if you think this is useful.
To all #linuxmusician (s), #linuxaudio #musicproducer (s) and Linux Audio #vendor (s):
If you should be on either of these lists, please let me know! -
I am delighted to introduce you to #linuxmusician @arendleejessurun in the latest #linuxaudio #artist #interview. 😊

Another #linuxaudio #artist #interview just made it online!
Val Davis, #singer #songwriter, long time #linuxmusician. 😊
"Good music is discovered down mistaken paths and in heartfelt hardships. Val Davis' life has had its share of both."

For all those #linuxmusician (s), #musicproducer (s), and #linuxaudio enthusiasts among you who haven't heard it yet from @x42 himself:
I had the honor of interviewing none other than x42 (Robin Gareus) – known for his work on #ardour and the #x42plugins, among others. 😎It was a great pleasure for me, and I think you might enjoy the conversation as well. ☺️

Do any of you #linuxaudio #linuxmusician people disable #usb #autosuspend for your #audiointerface?
-
Do you think that #linuxaudio could develop in a similar fashion to how #linuxgaming developed?
#yabridge could evolve into a foundation for #musicproduction on #linux, similar to how #proton became the same for #gaming on Linux.
Native #linux apps and #plugin (s) would then become less important.
Or do you think that #native Linux plugins are the future for music production on Linux?

Are any of you #linuxmusician (s) using MiniMeters for your #musicproduction?
I think it is amazing that this is available for #linuxaudio. 🤓
Unfortunately, it crashes a lot for me. 🤔
In theory, though, I think it would be great to use as an always on analyzer for producing music on #linux.
I reached out to the developer and hope to resolve the issues and start using it soon.

Perhaps there is simply less interest in Safari Pedals or Sugar Bytes among #linuxmusician (s) on #linuxaudio than in Baby Audio, for example? 🤔
The call for action for native Linux Baby Audio #plugin (s) at https://forum.babyaud.io/t/native-linux-support/208/11 received 10 reactions already. 😎

The same goes for native #linux support with Sugar Bytes #plugin (s). So far, 0 #linuxaudio fans or #linuxmusician (s) have expressed interest. 🤔
If you'd like them to port their plugins to Linux, please let them know at https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=623601.

So far none of the #linuxaudio fans and #linuxmusician (s) here have expressed interest in Safari Pedals offering #linux support for their #plugin range. 🤔
If you'd like to see them porting their plugins to Linux, please make some noise at https://gearspace.com/board/music-computers/1455232-safari-pedals-native-linux-support.html! ☺️

So happy to see so many #linuxmusician (s) voicing their desire for #linuxaudio support in this thread on the Baby Audio forum:
https://forum.babyaud.io/t/native-linux-support/208 -
Have any of you #linuxmusician (s) heard of SLURP by ISIVISI?
Looks like a really fresh (new?) #synthesizer #plugin for #linuxaudio.
-
Dear #linuxaudio enthusiasts and #linuxmusician (s). I just made a post on Baby Audio's #forum as they told me that they would consider supporting #linux if there was a significant demand.
If you would like them to support #musicproduction on Linux, please make some noise at https://forum.babyaud.io/t/native-linux-support/208. 😜😎

I am excited to let all you #linuxmusician (s) know that, as of today, DDMF is part of the illustrious community of #linuxaudio #plugin #developer (s)! 😎
The Freiburg, Germany-based vendor is kicking off #linux support with the outstanding #compressor (s) MagicDeathEye and MagicDeathEyeStereo, as well as with the free #reverb plugin Endless.
I don't know about you, but I am in party mode! 🥳
-
I have another question for you #linuxaudio #linuxmusician (s): Do you usually put effects like reverb and delay directly on the respective channels, or do you prefer send/return channels instead?
