My RME UCX audio interface has died after 11 years of service. I’ll probably replace it with the UCX II, but I’m interested in alternatives. Arturia’s AudioFuse 16Rig looks suitable for my studio (mostly line level, some synths & CV, a couple of mics) but it uses the default Core Audio driver (on Mac). Is that good enough?
What other audio interfaces do people recommend?

Happy to report that my shiny new (super low-end!) #MAudio #Air 192|4 #AudioInterface works out of the box on #ChromeOS over #USB, both as a #soundcard and as an #XLR #mic-in.
As an #audio newb, I mostly chose it for the big knob in the middle!
Now I know it's working (and won't need to be returned) I might even take the plastic cladding off the front panel+knob ... 😱

Early birthday gift / hardware upgrade. It will allow me to get better recordings and do more with my microphones. Excited to get this into my recording setup and start using my Shure PG58.
(Yes I've recorded several albums without a standalone audio interface lol)

Momentan die einzige mir bekannte #Möglichkeit, um mit meinem #Lenovo #X250 #Thinkpad mit #UbuntuStudio #Skype zu verwenden und gleichzeitig auf mein #Audiointerface zugreifen zu können. Die #App hat da immer #Probleme gemacht, unter #Skype for #Web mit #Chrome #funktioniert es #stabil.
trotzdem nur #Notlösung.
