Des guitaristes/bassistes qui pratiquent sur un setup "numérique" ? À base de NAM ou Neural DSP ou autres ?
Je (re)commence un peu à m'y intéresser et sans partir dans des recherches chronophages, je voulais avoir un peu vos retours.
Pour l'instant je joue via ma carte son dans mon portable sur mon DAW et je charge mes simulations, mais c'est un peu fastidieux et pas tjs évident pour construire un bon son ou un chainage un peu perso... -
So yesterday I decided to see how a #NeuralDSP capture sounds, to see if it would be viable to just use the #NanoCortex for say fly dates.
I captured my main rhythm sound on the IRX a couple of times, adjusting the signal gain going into the NC, until the results were free of artifacts. Each capture sounded subtly different—not sure why—but in the end it is insanely good. (1/6)

В далёком 2001 году я впервые увидел Linux и понял, что это моё. Шли годы, менялись дистрибутивы и мои требования к ним, но вот недавно я решил закрыть гештальт и научиться играть на электрогитаре. Покопавшись в интернете, наткнулся на кучу обзоров гитарных процессоров, комбиков и программ-эмуляций. Как это часто бывает, крутые коммерческие продукты есть под Windows и Mac, а вот про Linux как-то снова забыли. В принципе, это нормально — иметь две системы под разные нужды. Но иногда очень не хочется перезагружаться, и я решил попробовать настроить свой Manjaro под работу со звуком. Мои первые эксперименты с JACK во времена 4 рубля за мегабайт закончились неудачей, а вот сейчас и знаний, и терпения хватило. Моя система: Manjaro Linux, KDE, Wayland. Аудиоинтерфейс Motu M2.

And trying to incorporate a slew of analog pedals takes you into the world of midi loop switchers, and then the pedal board gets too big to really do fly dates.
If getting together the required palette requires some kind of compromises with digital, then it's increasingly seeming like some sort of modeller might be worth looking at. So I reached out to Neural DSP...

@mboelen druk bezig met van big tech weg te gaan, nog een paar uitdagingen, #NeuralDSP Cortex Control werkt niet op #Linux, familie begin dit jaar overzetten op @nextcloud en wachten op mn @jolla telefoon. Band van #GoogleDrive af krijgen gaat te lastig worden ben ik bang.

How’s everyone getting on with #macOS 26 with #LogicPro and their plugins? I mainly use #NeuralDSP guitar plugins, #ToonTrack drums and a couple of randoms from UA.
(I also use Cortex Control).
Currently still on Sequoia 15.7.2.

TIL that the quad cortex lets you assign almost anything to scenes - including splitters! I'd been laboriously assigning individual devices to scenes.
Much quicker to set a splitter to A/B, and then set one path to "off" in scene A, and the other in scene B.
Then, you can just drop devices on the appropriate rows.
I think you probably need to be a bit more careful with CPU usage monitoring with this approach but it's particularly good if you're just playing with ideas.
