For all those #linuxmusician (s), #musicproducer (s), and #linuxaudio enthusiasts among you who haven't heard it yet from @x42 himself:
I had the honor of interviewing none other than x42 (Robin Gareus) β known for his work on #ardour and the #x42plugins, among others. πIt was a great pleasure for me, and I think you might enjoy the conversation as well. βΊοΈ

I use #Ardour for producing all my tracks, #Carla for testing and experimenting with plugins, #SurgeXT & #NoiseMaker as synths, various stuff by brummer10 (#guitarix, ratatouille, ...) and #NAM and #Aida for guitars, #LSP plugins for IRs and samplers etc. #x42plugins for EQ and MIDI processing, #Cardinal for sound design & a lot more #FLOSS tools and plugins.
Expanding the scope of the question, I use #FAUST and #DPF for writing my own plugins and use them in a lot of my tracks.

Any idea on how to pin #LV2 / #audio #plugins on something like a canvas?
Background: #tcElectronics sell their desktop audio meter βClarity M Stereoβ with digital inputs. However, the Meter Collection by #x42plugins could do the very same thing on any PC/Mac for less money.
All I'd need to do is to arrange those plugins on the screen in a reliable manner.
And this unfortunately most likely on OS X, since I'd need to feed these things via #Dante #AudioOverIP and the cheapest way to do so is #DanteVirtualSoundcard
Or, @x42 β is there some other chance to get a shameless copy of the TC hardware in one plugin, perhaps even resizeable/full screen capable? Basically all the ingredients are there in your collection.
So far I use the original x42 meters via a Dante Avio USB on Linux, but it's one hell of a configuration using VirtualBox+DanteController when IPs don't match.
