@jrp hi jay, neee die beiden Artikel kamen hier noch nicht vor. Merci dafür! Bis einschliesslich 7.4. gibt es ein Crossgrade zu Bitwig Studio für 179 Euro beim großen T / 199 € überall woanders. Ich werde das mal antesten. Daneben hab ich noch das freie Waveforms und Reaper. Muss letztere beizeiten dann mal nur noch mit VSTs anreichern. Das sollte dann zum Spielen und Einarbeiten reichen. Sample-Libraries / Loops brauche ich eh nicht. 🙃 #linux #audio #linuxaudio #DAW #Linuxdaw

I just saw over at "Linux Daw", that JoaCHIP has started porting old Jeskola Buzz Plugins like Arguelle¹'s TB4006 from around 2000 to Linux/#VST (also Windows and Mac, but who cares nowadays? ;) ) and I celebrate any of this!!

¹ Arguelle (Juan Antonio Arguelles Rius in RL) was a positively mad man who like every second day (!) released another weird tracker software, but also some #Buzz Plugins. One of his countless trackers is the technical foundation of #Renoise btw. He died way to soon around 20 years ago in a car accident.

I came across this new video about an open source synth that works on Linux:

Then I checked the developers' website and... there is plenty of stuff there! I haven't tried anything but it seems they are not listed on LinuxDaw.

Years ago I used #feed2toot and it was fine. I have also tried https://feedsin.space/ but we want to publish from our own account. Happy to try #feediverse but since you're here I thought I'd ask first. 🙏

@alf I know it's an old thread, but I just started following #linuxdaw.
I am really happy with #ardour, but sometimes I need a few Windows-only vsts as there we're: the Plugin-Alliance stuff, which I was subscribed to but I unsubscribed due to the lack of Linux support. I sometimes use some plugins from the Modern series by "Antress" (I.believe that was the Name). Yabridge does a great job though. I believe I would have much more trouble If I had to switch to Windows 😄. -

Ich muß zugeben, ich hatte mich dieses Jahr noch nicht mit den Inhalten der #easterhegg auseinandergesetzt. Der #Vortrag von Lucy zu den Vorteilen von #pipewire gegenüber #pulseaudio gefällt mir super.
