Switzerland actively participates in international #sanctions against #Russia
Yet today Swiss-registered #IA says, “You can now use our apps on devices where App Store is disabled” a wink-and-nudge that they're open to selling to Russia (since they didn't need to explicitly point that out if merely now selling on their site).
I changed my VPN to a Russia-friendly country, said I was in Russia and IA was more than happy to take my money for #iawriter
What say you, @ia ?

@mijenix Ich habe erstmal einen Sammelbeitrag gemacht, da liste ich die Rezepte und die kommen dann Stück für Stück, wenn ich Zeit habe.
Zumindest läuft das Bloggen vom iPad mit #WorkingCopy und #iAwriter jetzt super-smooth, das macht Lust aufs bloggen.

In einem für wahrscheinlich alle außer mir absolut lächerlich scheinenden Versuch, meine Softwareabonnements wieder auf die einzig vernünftige Zahl 0 zu reduzieren, versuche ich dann jetzt mal herauszufinden, ob der #iAWriter (Einmalkauf) #Ulysses (kein Einmalkauf) nach zwei Jahren mit Letzterem das Wasser reichen kann. Mal gucken, wie lange es dauert, bis mich das alles ganz furchtbar aufregt.

Давно уже сделал ставку на Markdown для заметок, статей и так далее. И пока фаворитом среди графических редакторов остаётся iAWriter. (Именно графических, в консоли Vim для меня вне конкуренции. :) )

A little fiddly at times, but that’s the charm making your own stuff and hosting on Synology in your closet for no good reason right?

Am finding using #obsidianmd much better on IOS if I use #iaWriter as the editor. I’ve been just using icloud for syncing and can do without the bells and whistles and plugins when working on the phone or ipad.

The library improvements in the latest version of #iAWriter are great, but does anyone else dislike the new icon as much as I do? Or disagree with me on that?
I’ve read their reasons for the change (https://ia.net/topics/making-icons-fresh), but in practice it just doesn’t communicate as quickly what app is going to open when you tap or click on it. (I’ve seen this kind of overthinking before.)
I loved the classic iA Writer icon—the design and typography were perfect—and wish there were an option to use it.

@ia With a few minor exceptions where I need #Pandoc conversions, #Vim table mode, or support for an atypical #Markdown variant like #Markua, #iawriter is far and away my favorite GUI editor and note-taking app. It's my second most-used #macOS and #iOS app outside the terminal, with Notes being first.
Now, if only I could get the undocumented format of #AppleNotes to bulk import into iA Writer I could solve 99% of every snippet problem I have ever had! One can dream, right?
