  1. #WritersCoffeeClub  – 21st May. What targets do you set for yourself? To what frequency?

I set targets for myself all the time. A project I am working on is to write down a lot of events that have happened over my lifetime.  I have a #minimum #goal of #writing at least three pages every day, with a more realistic goal of finishing whatever event / topic I have chosen for that day.

I also have recently started working writing #essays.  These are first #drafts being #written in long form. For this project I have a 5-7 page per day goal.  The idea being that I can hopefully complete a draft every 3–5 days.

  6. I've lost a lot of work in @moshidon because it doesn't save my half-written post as a draft when the app is being closed, or crashes, or the OS is shutting down.

Any chance of getting the apps to detect anything that triggers quitting the app, and save any text in a compose window to drafts? Or maybe autosave texts to some kind of buffer as they're typed, from which they can be recovered when the app reopens after being unexpectedly shut down?

  7. ✨ I created a new @drafts action that allows you to post the current draft to Pagecord via the Pagecord API. I hope someone else finds this useful.

  15. Little League Season Prep 2026

It’s that time of year again — fields are getting lined, equipment bags are coming out of garages, and coaches everywhere are scrambling to get organized before opening day.

Over the years, I’ve built a few tools to make my own coaching life easier. Here’s the stack I’m using for 2026:

    The Lineup Spreadsheet

Still my most-shared resource. A simple Google Sheets template that lets you plan defensive positions, track pitching innings, and print out dugout-ready lineup cards.

Get the free lineup spreadsheet →

    WalkUp DJ

New this year. Walk-up music for every kid — because that moment when they step up to bat should feel special. Apple Music integration, custom audio files, AirPlay support, and optional announcer voice intros.

Download WalkUp DJ on the App Store →

    Draft Night

If your league does a player draft, this app handles the whole process — snake drafts, keeper rules, the works. I built it for Walnut Creek Little League and it’s been used by leagues across the country.

    Check out Draft Night →

Good luck this season. Play ball. ⚾

  20. Part 2 of my Drafts as Hub series is live. This one digs into how the actions actually work.

Every action follows the same pattern: JavaScript calls Notion's API, sets template tags, then hands off to Apple Shortcuts for Obsidian and Apple Notes. One tap, three destinations.

  21. I use five note-taking platforms on purpose. Apple Notes on mobile. Obsidian on desktop. Notion at work because I won't install Obsidian on my work machine. Yes, I know that's insane.

So I turned Drafts into the central nervous system that connects all of them. One tap routes content to three destinations simultaneously. AI wrote all the JavaScript.

Part 1 of a series - the why and the full daily flow.

  28. #Obsidian has a plugin that lets you select text & when you hit paste, it creates a Markdown link with that text and a link from your clipboard. Does anyone know if such a thing exists for #Drafts?

  30. This has been wonderful to use. I'm experimenting with using Craft for my writing, brainstorming, and TODOs related to my blogs (all things blog in one place). Being able to import directly from Drafts to Craft is a little slice of increased productivity.

  32. After having a productivity system in constant flux for decades, I finally have something that I haven't significantly changed in a year or so. Pretty much:
#Drafts - As a starting point for almost everything. Even this post!
#AppleNotes - for notes I want to keep around forever.
#OmniFocus - For all task management.
#DevonThink - To store all the things and find them later
#Hookmark - To link them all together

  37. @jarunmb #AppleNotes is a really, really good tool. For people/families wholesale invested in Apple's ecosystem it's superb - despite a couple of bizarre quirks like not being able to set a default font for newly-composed notes nor literally ANY ability to change font when using the iPhone.

For #Windows though, fuck it and in particular FUCK #Drafts for not having a Windows version. #Obsidian is king. It's the loincloth-wearing, top-of-the-mountain uber-pinnacle of PKM.

  38. @viharm @jarunmb Don't get me wrong. I never said it didn't "work" for me. It did - for a full year. But here's the thing. I have two requirements for notes. One is immediate quick notes - what a lot of people use #AppleNotes, or #Drafts for. But I have #WINDOWS as well. Neither of those work. I use #Simplenote for it. Syncs multiplatform and I could give a fuck about it not being end-to-end secured. #Obsidian for cold-storage of notes. (1/3)

  40. @markmcelroy @marcoarment The one I’d miss the most is probably #Drafts by @drafts There’s nothing else quite like it on any platform.

Tbf, there are also whole categories of apps I miss from Android, including wifi analyzers and custom launchers
