Pues hoy me ha comunicado @jottacloud que cuando me toque renovar su suscripción con ellos a partir del 3 de agosto pasará a costar 10 euros más: "Debido a los significativos aumentos en los costos de almacenamiento e infraestructura desde nuestro último ajuste hace dos años, estamos ajustando nuestros precios."
No queda nada que no haya fastidiado la maldita IAg. NADA. ESTOY MUY HARTO.

@dbattistella may I offer you some #Jottacloud in these trying times? #Norwegian data protections are some of the most strict in the world.
But yeah, beyond that: artists should keep their data safe locally as well.
Getting a router in the home that can be updated and that has built-in VPN connected to external storage is one way of "having your cake and eating it too".
Perhaps even renting your own VPS.
But artists should know: nothing in life is free, and using free services is a gamble.

Letztens von einer Bekannten gefragt worden, was gute Alternative zu #GoogleDrive ist. Konnte ich ihr nicht sagen.
Auf https://di.day/de/wechselrezepte findet sich ja hierzu noch kein Wechselrezept, digitalcourage hat aber was https://digitalcourage.de/blog/2019/datenschutzfreundliche-clouds-im-test. Weiß jemand, ob so ein Rezept aktuell in Arbeit ist? #DIDit
Aus meiner Sicht wäre ja so eine Tabelle hilfreich, auch mit aktuellen Preisen? Für Privatpersonen ist es Budgetfrage.
Und ohne #E2E muss man halt auch dem Anbieter vertrauen bzw. schlecht für Leaks/Angriffe, wie z.B. bei #jottacloud oder managed nextcloud. 🤷 (Muss natürlich jeder selber entscheiden, wir vertrauen ja vielen Firmen sensible Dinge an, auch bei Email-Anbieter)

One year ago I just had it with O365 due to many reasons, us based, integrity and the final punch the absurd price increase due to AI services I never asked for so I left for Jottacloud and I’m still very happy.

Email (Microsoft) —>#posteoMein Microsoft Konto wollte ich löschen, allerdings gibt es einen Bug bei privaten Konten:
„Sie müssen Ihre Arbeitsorganisation verlassen“
im weiteren lande ich in einem Login-Fehler „private Konten nicht erlaubt“mittlw. bin ich im Kontakt mit dem Msft-Datenschutzteam.

De flesta förvarar eller säkerhetskopierar säkerligen sina bilder på iCloud, Google Photos eller Microsoft Onedrive. En del kanske använder Flickr eller nån annan sajt. Samtliga de nämnda sajterna ägs av US-amerikanska företag och alla förutom Flickr ägs av ett av de 5 stora IT-företagen.
