#hitexploded Neutopia 2, took a bit longer because of life/work. It was a nice playthrough, again not as deep as Zelda, but a fun play anyways. Bosses are nice (look and design as well as gameplay). Used save states (of course). #hudsonsoft #pcengine

Continued on with Neutopia II on the #pcengine after finishing part 1. Right away you can see it has improved gfx, sprites seem a little larger as well. A bit more detail in general. Game-wise more of the same, but more than the previous get medallion from labyrinth x8. #hudsonsoft #arpg

Biggest bummer is the disc it's just a CD-R with a home print. The original is shiny and the repro is dull. The colours in general are a bit darker… which is not that bad… but in some places it feels off like the spine and the inside of the cover #hudsonsoft is almost black instead of a dark blue.

Got a #pcengine repro cd game from #aliexpress to see if it's any good so you don't need to. I chose Gate of Thunder because I got it recently and can compare the repro to the original. Keep an eye on this thread, if you want to find out. Will post comparison pics when I find the time. #hudsonsoft

Takahashi Meijin no Bouken-jima. Literally: Master Takahashi's Adventure Island, known in the west just as Adventure Island. Also one of my ramen-chef friend's favourites. Takahashi was employed by #hudsonsoft when they saw his skills, pressing the fire button 17 times per second!

Bomber King (Robo warrior in the west). Published by #hudsonsoft for the #famicom in 1987, not developed in-house, but by Aicom. Gameplay resembles that of Bomberman a bit (1983), but this game has more story.

That's about it for the #pcengine mini. Made by #hori for #konami (digital entertainment) who bought #hudsonsoft in 2012. Plenty of space inside the case, theoretically you could stuff the microUSB OTG splitter cable with an USB stick inside, but should we risk bricking the mini with bad power?

Done deal! #hitexploded Bomber Man on #famicom. Beat all 50 levels, got the end screen and then it looped back to stage 1. End screen message says "See you again in Lode Runner", so Lode Runner came after and #bomberman was a cameo. Fired up Lode Runner to check. #hudsonsoft

Meikyuu Kumikyoku: Milon no Daiouken (Milton's Secret Castle). Another #hudsonsoft #famicom game. This game is my Japanese Ramen chef friend's all-time favourite game. A #platformer, I have played it before but never tried to finish it. Will need to clean though as the cart is not working.

Bomberman for #famicom by #hudsonsoft. The OG Bomberman (doesn't have a 2 or more player mode). Part of gaming history. I noticed the sprite for Bomberman is the same as the enemies in Lode Runner. Which game was released first? Actually it's Bomber Man.

Saturn Bomberman Fight!! Yeah, made a mistake here. I thought it was Saturn Bomberman, the one for 10 players. This one is isometric (why oh why!?) like on Playstation. Will have something to hunt for next time :).

In the previous #hardoff we found these HuCard looking cards for #msx by #hudsonsoft. 2 of my friends each got one, Bomberman and Final Soldier. When we looked it up later we found out there was an adapter that goes into the cart slot and the "Bee Cards" would then go in there. And see what we found here!
