Had a huge playfield clean+wax, burnt lamp replacement and minor repair session today. Here's about 6 hours of footage in one minute.

As I walked in, I couldn't believe my eyes! It was my old Continental Magic Game bingo pin! I brought this thing back from the dead years ago, which sure was an adventure with all of its security features and stuff in place.

A shame to see it was no longer either functional, or the people running the place didn't want to poke the bear by having an active gambling machine on the floor.

Anyway, good to see you, old friend.

We found ourselves at Lievestuore after the bitter disappointment of their amusement park's arcade. At this point we were closer to #Tampere than home, so we headed out to see how the Särkänniemi amusement park's new hobbyist run arcade fares.

Now this was more like it. The old dolphinarium waiting area had been converted into one long lineup of pins and vids. The games were mostly 90s, but with some more modern ones and couple of classics in the mix.

Everything ran with tokens, that were sold at the cafeteria. My only gripe was that the pins took 2 tokens each, with the base token price being at 1.5€, although the price went down if you bought them in bulk.

Bugs Bunny had no mini playfield flipper at all.

Ripley's Believe it Or Not was missing the other lower flippers.

I don't know if I crashed the party mid-repairs, but the it was a sad thing to see. I would've loved me some Ripley's at least from that lineup.

I know the amusement park itself is more of a collection of old carnival-style rides, mostly for younger kids but the arcade got me curious.

So we went there with the hopes of playing some pinball and maybe other arcade games and make a cool video of a proper, old days' arcade.

I came back with this video. It's everything I shot of that place. I stepped in, was like "oooh, pins" and took a quick sweep before I went to play. After I was done and realized this was it, I was so damn disappointed I just wanted to walk.

The "100 arcade games" apparently included non-functional ornaments over the walls. There were really maybe 20+ games total, most of them vids or claw machines. They had 7 pins, out of which 2 were on and all those 2 needed was a mercy shot at this point.

NBA Fastbreak's right orbit diverter came off. The e-clip that holds it had gotten loose. Now, everyone said I'd have to pull the right ramp which is quite a chore on this thing. I however noticed that with the little metal ramp thing from the shooter lane removed, I could access the spot quite easily. Turned an hour's job into 10 minute job. Work smart etc. #pinball #pinrepair #repair
