I'm impacted mostly by the reduced travel spnsorship to events. In contrast I am not concerned at all about the staff reduction, and I don't think there will be more work for the community then before either.
I am really optmistic though, that the newly elected board members will be able to fix things! -

Also I wish that one day the #gnomefoundation can (partly) sponsor travel costs also to these small events, at least for low-income or no-income participants (like students, I wonder if we should organise better, I feel like sometimes we could defend our interests/situation better together) -

I don't know who needs to hear this but, while I enjoy much of the work done by gnome foundation, gnome foundation is a failed democracy.
It is frustrating and sad. I really hope this changes in the future but I have no hope for this change.

The #GNOME Rebel Alliance showing up on May 26th in https://discourse.gnome.org/tag/elections2024, with eleven candidates running for six seats in https://vote.gnome.org/2024/candidates.html, makes for the most intriguing #GNOMEFoundation election in years. Lots of young blood and also very fine vintage blood on offer there.
I made this poster to encourage y'all to vote, whatever your blood type is. Using the "Cantarell" font instead of "Inter" on the 1st line symbolically counterbalances the 2nd line's futuristic "Youngblood" font.
