Ideal si tienes tu propia biblioteca musical en casa 🚀

  2. Please 🚀. I'm going to stop short of saying you should not install the #ICEBlock app, but you should know that you're painting a giant target on your back if you use it, and it does not protect your information adequately. The Trump administration is not being coy about how they see this app and it's users, citing charges of obstruction of justice and general threats of prosecution.

The developer ignorantly insists the only way to safely use it is through iOS app store. That ignores the fact that Apple collects data on what users are installing what apps. It also ignores that the gov has been intercepting push notifications for several years now, so it would be as simple as comparing that data against those who receive push notifications at specific times to determine who is using the app.

The app is also closed-source, so the community cannot inspect it for vulnerabilities.

If they distributed through a 3rd party app store on Android, such as #fdroid (which you cannot do on iOS), they could allow users to run their own notification system using #unifiedpush. Google would not be involved at any stage.

Yes, this would be a high barrier to entry for use, but I think the usecase demands it. Almost certainly we will soon see prosecution for the apps' users and probably also removal from the App Store. Apple most certainly does not care enough to fight the government over this.

That is, unless, as I suspect, this app is actually a #honeypot.

  3. #TIL about #FOSSDroid;

"... the project’s aim is to promote free and open source apps on the Android platform. Fossdroid takes its data from F-Droid and organizes the apps in an attractive Google Play-like arrangement, with the ability to view apps by what’s new / trending / most popular."

  4. Wrote a story about how I installed Lineage OS v21 on my phone (Motorola Defy 2021).

One day I got so tired of Google's "safety warnings" when I'm installing/updating applications from F-Droid... Also, the stock Android is taking up so much space in my flash memory with all those non-removable Google apps... So I decided to spend some time installing Lineage OS:

  5. Uh oh, looks like Google invented a new technique to forbid Aurora Stores users to install apps from the Google Play.

Today, I see this in the Aurora Store (see pic. 1). Login to the Google account with my credential succeeds, but then I got "Could not generate AAS token" toast in the application.

Anonymous login just doesn't work with CertPathValidatorException (pic. 2).

Yesterday all works as usual, without the errors

  6. This kind of apps that respect user privacy are the ones that we need.

If you need a simple To-Do app or location based reminders definetly give Tasks a try.

  8. Is there a way to enable automatic downloads only for a few podcasts in @AntennaPod ? I don't wanna enable it for all and then manually uncheck 100 + podcasts. Is there an easier way to do this?

  9. I just installed #AnySoftKeyboard for android, which has quite good support for swyping.

One less google/MS product I'm dependent on. Now they don't get to read my keyboard data.

Currently, is being used on over 1k devices, as reported on the Google Play Store. Only the gods know how many more are using the APK and downloads, as I don't track them.
