@3sat ich wage das Experiment schon länger. Leider werden viele im Alltag erforderliche Apps (zB Banking) nur in den kommerziellen Appstores angeboten.
Nun will der Android-Platzhirsch den Zugang zu alternativen Appstores auf unfreien Androidgeräten sperren. Mir scheint, dass #aurorastore davon derzeit bereits betroffen ist. Heißt für mich: keine Updates mehr für die Apps aus den BigTech-Stores...
Es ist jedenfalls bitter zu sehen, wie schwer wir uns in Deutschland tun, für uns #dutgemacht #didit reklamieren zu können. ZB #Wero? Schwierig.
Immerhin erfreuen mich die Nachrichten aus #Hannover bzgl der Verwendung von MS365 an #Schule [0] – schade natürlich um das Lehrgeld, das nun gar nicht für Lehre zur Verfügung steht.
Auch die Sache mit iPad-Ausschreibung in #Datteln [1] weckt Hoffnung, dass offene Systeme (#Linux!) mittelfristig in den Schulen Einzug halten.

Dneska jsem se na #Android z #AuroraStore snažil nainstalovat detektor kabelů ve zdi.
Z asi deseti zkoušených aplikací mi jich všech asi deset spadlo s chybou "something went wrong" kvůli chybějícímu #Google Play.
Je tohle budoucnost, kterou jsme chtěli?

Da der Aurorastore auf meinem googlefreien Handy seit einiger Zeit sagt, dass der Server ausgelastet sei, habe ich hier nach dem Hashtag #aurorastore gesucht und sofort die Lösung gefunden:
https://mas.to/@nemo/117205098545634178Die Lösung ist übrigens, eine neue Email für den anonymen Account erzeugen zu lassen, damit google Downloads wieder akzeptiert.
Besser ist es deshalb immer, keine Apps aus dem google Store zu installieren, sondern von #fdroid

Woke up this morning and was able to update five apps on #AuroraStore without any shenanigans. I thought maybe Google had stopped throttling, but on trying to update a sixth app, I'm back to "server busy." #AuroraStoreApocalypse

#aurorastore ist bei mir auch nicht benutzbar, wegen "Server ausgelastet" ... Wir müssen wohl warten bis https://gitlab.com/AuroraOSS/AuroraStore/-/work_items/1566 gefixed ist.
Wird in Zukunft vermutlich von Google immer schwieriger gemacht. #keepandroidopen

J'ai voulu mettre à jour @futo Notes via @fdroidorg sur ma tablette Samsung (S8) mais quelle fut ma surprise de voir que je n'y arrivait pas.
N'ayant plus de compte Google j'utilise #aurorastore mais depuis quelques jours impossible de mettre à jour ou d'installer des apps.
J'ai donc désinstallé F-Droid pour le reinstaller. Mais une erreur s'affiche à l'écran. Voilà ce que c'est un #Android fermé par #Google.Prochaine tablette, s'il y a, sera sûrement avec une #romcustom comme @iode .

Nutze daher F-Droid.
- Kannst du auf manche Apps nicht verzichten? →Prüfe sie mit Exodus Privacy auf Tracker.
- Keine Tracker? → Installiere über Aurora.
- Mit Trackern? → Nutze sie isoliert: Vertrauliches-Profil (GrapheneOS) oder mit VPN & RethinkDNS. -

Starting with version 10 the GCam no longer works without Play Services installed. Latest version known to be working without them is 9.9.
If you are affected by this and don't want to get the update by accident you should blacklist the app in your app store such as #AuroraStore.

I can post instructions later for anyone who wants to know how, but I figured out how to use the #AuroraStore to revert the #GoogleCamera / #PixelCamera app to the version before the horrendously dumb UI redesign.
It's wonderful to have my old camera app back. So much more convenient.
