I tried installing Fairphone Gallery on my FP5 using #AuroraStore. It says App not available for your device. 😕

I have FairphoneOS but I am not logged in to Google and have not disabled Play Store.

Globalement très satisfait de cet appareil si fiable (un seul petit changement de composant en 5 ans) et de l'OS qui ne plante quasiment jamais. Le seul frottement, c'est l'App Lounge qui ne fonctionne pas malgré les mises à jour, je compense avec @fdroidorg et #AuroraStore où je trouve tout ce que je veux

Since @calyxos has resolved it's issues and has published current versions again, I've flashed my #FP4 which is running #Android 16 now and is back on OTA updates.

I've used #seedvault for the first time and I'm very impressed! This was the best set-up process on a phone I had so far. Seedvault restored nearly everything without any issues. Thank you so much!

Ich bin positiv überrascht, der Aurora Store hat mit dem neuesten Update ein deutlich hübscheres UI bekommen 🚀

Nachdem kürzlich schon der LineageOS-Updater optisch überarbeitet wurde, wirken Android-Alternativen zunehmend ausgereifter und massentauglicher, technisch ebenso wie beim Design 🤩

Die Installation über #AuroraStore sollte dann ja möglich sein und die Nutzung der App auf einem Google-freien Mobiltelefon erlauben.

@chris Thank you, I appreciate that. I just hope that deinstalling Playstore is enough to enable @fdroidorg, #aurorastore and such.

The least invasive method to install apps from free stores would be to bypass a still installed PlayStore by »adb install <APKPathName>« with the .apk file downloaded to your PC. I think there are GUIs for this for the mouse pushers among us.

Die Apps, die angeblich in Zusammenhang mit erwähnter Bundesagentur stehen, werfen auch Fragen auf. Sind diese frei verfügbar? Natürlich nicht. Es wird auf übliche dubiose Stores im Ausland verwiesen.

Oder ist es besser bei 16 zu bleiben um die Einschränkungen bezüglich freien Apps nicht zu bekommen?

(Ja, auf #GrapheneOs zu gehen wäre gut, ist aber das Telefon meines Arbeitgebers, da ist sowas schwierig. Apps kommen aus #fdroid und #AuroraStore, bei deaktivierten PlayDiensten.)

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, Apps über den #AuroraStore zu installieren, so dass die Play Integrity von #Google trotzdem gewährleistet ist?

Viele Apps die einst funktionierten, laufen jetzt nicht mehr. 😭

@dave No need for the Google store - I installed the GoogleCamera from #AuroraStore and disabled any Network connectivity for that app. Works flawless since I got on #GrapheneOS maybe 2 years ago...

Instalacja błyskawiczna, a teraz zabawa z konfiguracją aplikacji.

Sam szukałem tych informacji, więc dla następnych szukających:
1. W Private Space z usługami Google:
- IKO działa, płatności BLIK też,
- Erste działa, płatności nie działają - podobno problemem jest właśnie Private Space
- mObywatel działa
- McDonald - nie działa :D (ale to tylko na plus)

2. Na głównym profilu głównie #openSource z #obtainium ewentualnie dla mniej istotnych aplikacji #fdroid i #aurorastore - ale te dwa ostatnie będę chciał docelowo zlikwidować

Got a weird tech question, and I'm not sure which forum to post it to, so I'll put it out into the fediverse ether!

I use #lineageOS on a #Fairphone3 and most of my apps are installed via f-droid. But some are installed via #AuroraStore, when there isn't an fdroid version.

I'm not signed into Google play on this phone.

Most apps just work, but there are 3 which do a weird thing, and are unusable as a result - when they start they just spin out to a Google Play sign on page.

What's going on? And is there anything I can do about it?

Einige Apps die ich mit #Aurorastore installiert habe sind auf Englisch.

Kann es sein, dass da irgendwelche 'Spli-APKs' verwendet werden und die deutschen Ressourcen nicht mitkommen?

Und was kann ich dagegen tun?
