Still running, on an elliptical 😊 It’s been an adventure adapting to new disabilities. Still registered for the half marathon but I don’t think I’ll be able to run it without walking or a wheelchair this fall.
One thing I’ve enjoyed lately is working with an Italian fella and his QZ Fitness app. I made an #esp32 bluetooth bridge to get better data points, and help get some PRs for improved device support (the world of Bluetooth fitness devices, is wild, with some common standards, lol).

@jbond You take the photograph of the celestial object at the same time of day over a whole year. The shape is produced because of the tilt of the #Earth in its orbit. The slightly irregular shape by the fact that the orbit is not quite circular but #elliptical. I made a simulated #analemma and posted it here some time ago using #Sellarium, to show what happens.

7 years ago a sys admin was cornered to give up keys in bogota - e2e comms are totally possible but the status quo has not yet come around - basically it is about power, money, status, and to a degree security. Spotify adjust tempo - "In theory, you could create an upbeat, sped-up version of a slower song to create a remix to listen to while working out."
And or adjust the playback speed for *any* song on Spotify for walking, jogging, cardio, efx machine, elliptical etc...

I am very out of shape, I couldn't go 2 minutes on the elliptical's resistance "5" setting without getting winded. This has nothing to do with being up for 14.5 hours though, surely not.

2023 Chicago BJJ Championships are happening this Saturday. I have one GI opponent and another no-gi in my rank/age/weight bracket.
Now, note to self: don't get injured in practice like last time!

I had heard only -ish reviews about the #movie #GunpowderMilkshake, but after having ignored similar reviews about #GunsAkimbo, #ShootEmUp and #Mayhem decided to give it a try
Watched the first part during my #workout and wow - it's a pure #actionmovie from the jump and a whole lot of fun - really made my workout fly by..
Now I'm torn on finishing it off tonight or saving the other half for tomorrow's #elliptical time.
But so far, nothing but #ThumbsUp from me! 😬

I used to run nearly everyday. I love to run. Since I got pregnant with my first child I have only gone out running a handful of times and never to the gym.

Lunchtime workout
Trying to detox from weekend drinking and establish some base numbers before introducing change so we may see the effects.
Sleep stress levels, HRV, and "body battery" were clearly effected by the few drinks I had over the weekend, but 30 minutes of elliptical was not a problem.

I had one of those “Why didn’t that ever occur to me before?” moments. The time between the #Equinoxes is not symmetrical. It’s about 186 days between the #March and #September equinoxes and about 179 days from September to March. This is because the speed of the #Earth in its #orbit varies as it’s #elliptical rather than circular. I never bothered to count the days and yet it’s “obvious” when you look at the calendar. This gives an eccentricity of the orbit to be around 0.015.
