For me the absolute craziest part of Home Alone is when the McCallister family rushes up to the gate at O'Hare and the attendant tells them to just go ahead and grab any available seat, without checking tickets or ID or if they're even boarding the correct plane.

Saw Red One and very much enjoyed it. I see what they did: "What if we made a Christmas movie with all the notes of a Marvel movie?" So of course it worked.Managed to avoid shopping this weekend. That's a win.
Ran the Evanston Flying Turkey 5K on Thursday, with the race route going right by the Northwestern University campus. Weather was chilly, but far from unbearable. A great way to start #Thanksgiving2024!

George Miller remains an artist of action. Anya Taylor-Joy does a superb job of acting through her eyes for most of the film. #Furiosa still falls short.
Miller argues that dialogue slows movies down. Character's words also let us know who they are, and that gives a reason to care. the heroine is necessarily mute for much of the movie and limits how engaged we get.
