This evening's viewing distraction: a revisit to 1981's Ghost Story, based on Straub's novel, boasting a cast of elder Hollywood royalty: Fred Astaire, Melvyn Douglas, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., & John Houseman, & an early #film for Alice Krige.

I just watched Mimi (Paul L. Stein, 1935) and rated it 7/10 ~ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mimi_%281935_film%29?wprov=sfla1 #films #cinema #cinemastodon #Mimi #LaVieDeBohème #LaBohème #DouglasFairbanksJr #GertrudeLawrence
One Night at Susie’s is an OK 1930 pre-code crime/romantic melodrama. Very pre-code. The theatre world is depicted in all its sleazy reality. The plot has more holes than a hoodlum who’s just been ventilated by a machine gun.
