  2. I have an older brother who certainly has #tourettes too, he exhibits many of the same behaviors I do, and my mom did as well. #Comorbidities too, I have SEVERE #adhd and moderate #OCD as well.

We look alike. Talk alike. Superficially act alike. I'm just better looking, fit and half a foot taller.

He is cruel under it, and physical #abuse was constant, and brutal from him.

  3. Interesting observation about #Melatonin and sensory hyper-responsiveness to #noise, after only a few hours it has reduced my hypersensitivity to noise (when doing the dishes), which I wasn't expecting. For someone trying to make their own comfortable earplugs, this is a pleasant surprise!

"To our knowledge, no studies have yet investigated the effect of melatonin on sensory processing dysfunction. Since melatonin can reduce pain perception, [67] it could possibly improve sensory hyper-responsiveness. Studies in rodents have investigated the relationship between melatonin and pain in conditions such as acute pain, inflammatory pain, and neuropathic pain. [68] Melatonin was shown to have a significant anti-nociceptive effect in all experimental models of pain. [68] Moreover, melatonin has anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory properties, reducing pain related to tissue damage. [68]"

I have #SevereME, a loss of the vast majority of pre-illness function. #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis kills those with #VerySevereME and I dread the ineluctable slide into said category…
