Yes, Galway taxi driver behind me, that's a huge two metre pothole on Lough Atalia Road, I wouldn't drive my car through it either. I'm moving right for a reason and so if you want to call me names or shake you fist at me fine. You shouldn't have attempted that overtake. I need to get my cameras working again.

@LordWoolamaloo well my attitude to a cyclist pinging their bell at me is the same as it would be when I’m driving and a motorist behind toots their horn.

Ignore them.

The Highway Code and common courtesy are unanimous. Approaching somebody moving slower you should slow down, wait for an opportunity to pass, and then pass wide and slow.

Cyclists expect it from drivers and they have a publicity campaign to enforce it. Now we need a campaign to protect pedestrians from cyclist’s #ClosePass

When will #cyclists realise they cannot pass pedestrians millimetres away at 30km an hour?
Not only is it highly dangerous, but it’s absolutely terrifying for the victim. I am still shaking.

@BintyMcFrazzles @straphanger actually no. It’s pedestrians that complain about entitled cyclists. Especially when they are the victims of a #closepass by a cyclist.

I submitted this close pass This #ClosePass at 9:30pm last night and West Mercia #OpSnap had dealt with it by 8:50am this morning, that's some amazing service 👏👏👏

A warning letter is being sent to this driver.

14 minutes for #OpSnap to review this footage and decide to take action against this driver.

I have no idea what they were thinking doing this - while it's not the worst #ClosePass, it might be among the most pointless: Quickly overtake and squeeze me in order to... get stuck in a queue behind a bin lorry, and save themselves 0 seconds, because I just scoot past and go up the bike lane.

North #Sheffield deliveries of #coffee completed by #bike today. Didn’t travel much by #bicycle in December partly because of weather but also because before that had too many close passes so opted for car.

Was fun #cycling today however & what I needed to get back into it. One #closepass that didn’t get on camera unfortunately but most of this route was off main roads so that helps. We will aim to #cycle when we can this year.

Fair play to West Mercia Police, I submitted this video of a #ClosePass at 12:25 and 48 minutes later received confirmation that they will be taking action against the driver.

When you snap a picture of the perfect example of unsafe cycling conditions:

Close pass from van and broken glass across the shoulder (no stopping zone) of the road in front of cyclist.

This road seems to do drivers heads in, they simply cannot wait a few seconds to go around safely because there are trees in the islands of the road.

A street #googlemaps will tag as having a dedicated bike lane definately doesnt mean its safe to ride on.

The road pictured has painted sections that Im guessing are for no parking, they certainly arent wide enough to be considered a bike lane.

This weeks #closepass on the #bikecommute was an SUV doing a #ratrun through the back of Cannington #perth . #cycling
