#Galway railway station is being rebuilt, but the signage is appalling and you just have to wander around at random to find your way in. I know it's difficult when you're rebuilding a station in the middle of a city but they really have made so little effort.
The #bike provision on the train was clearly designed and installed by someone who has never actually seen a #bicycle.

Dear "Fellow Motorists", please obey yield signs even when a bicycle is the oncoming traffic on the road you are turning on to. I don't enjoy swerving out of the way of a Land Rover and faceplanting Mechants Road at 11:45 in the morning. Have a very bloody and possibly broken nose, been to Dr, losing a workday, otherwise OK.

🇮🇪 #Irish Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien has published the final progress report on the National Sustainable #Mobility Policy Action Plan 2022–2025, reporting substantial progress across its 91 actions.
Around 70% of actions have been delivered, with remaining measures being carried forward under the 2026–2030 plan and other Government programmes. Key achievements include more than 185 new or enhanced public transport services linking over 240 towns and villages, 1,000km of new or upgraded walking and cycling infrastructure, and 53% of State-subsidised urban bus fleets in #Cork, #Galway, #Limerick and #Waterford moving to low- or zero-emission vehicles.
More than 500 bus shelters were installed, wheelchair-accessible vehicles increased by over 25%, and PSO passenger numbers rose by more than 35% compared with 2018. The #Government said continued investment will support a more sustainable, inclusive and accessible #transport system.

Galway’s a confusing town! The Dublin bus goes from the Coach Station but the Ennis bus goes from the Bus Station! Just ask anyone where the coach station is and they’ll send you to the bus station (except that with luck the person next to them will say “No! The coach stion is *that* way!”

After a two-day visit to Dublin, the only thing I want to say is this:
I apologize in advance, but this is true: Dubliners have no right to complain about bad weather.
They receive 750 mm of rain a year, while Galway (city) has 1,550 mm, and the Aran Islands have even more.

Seem to have come down with a touch of the lurgy and spent the afternoon watching, the quite brilliant #BansheesOfInisherin. So it feels apt that today's #DailyPhoto should be an old one from a visit to #InisMor, looking up to the amazing #Prehistoric #HillFort of #DúnAonghasa (#DunAengus)

Now that the mornings are getting brighter, it's time for a #30SecondCommute!
Still a bit dark starting off, and i thought it would be a LOT wetter, but I managed to pass everything that passed me not long after i hit the tailback.
