  1. Took a stroll around the garden and found my Berberis dangling tiny golden bells, hosting its own spring party. The guest list? Just me and the bees.

  7. A lovely little cluster of flowers from a rather spiky berberis bush.

You know, the flowers kind of remind me of tulips - particularly the ones which are only part-open.

  8. Another plant drawing. This time it's Berberis vulgaris. They look so nice with their shiny red fruits during the cold and harsh winter time.

  9. Darwin's barberry, #Berberis darwinii, is native to Argentina and Chile. A vigorous grower -- with thorns! -- once established, but it seems to put up with major pruning. And these bright orange flowers are quite exquisite.

  10. #SilentSunday
Time in the garden, drawn by the mahonia aquifolium (or is it a berberis? there seems to be some confusion between the two) which forms part of the roadside hedge - totally covered in typical spring time yellow.

A few minutes there, seems a good way of transitioning from the silence of the #QuakerMeeting, back into the world.
