  3. One UI 9.0 Watch Beta 2 is now live for the Galaxy Watch8!

    The One UI 9.0 beta program started for users with the Galaxy Watch8 in Korea and in the US. It provided several features that were introduced in this software update while providing several improvements.

    Starting from today, One UI 9.0 Watch Beta 2 is now available for those who have already joined the beta program with the Galaxy Watch8 in the above countries mentioned. The second beta version of One UI 9.0 Watch is now available to fix some bugs and to incorporate general improvements across the whole operating system based on user feedback and internal evaluation, according to Sammy Fans.

    One UI 9.0 Beta 9 is available under build ZZI1, with the Galaxy Watch8 that joined the beta program receiving it. It’s a beta release designed to bring the following changes:

    • Applied stabilization code for device operation
    • Fixed Health app errors
    • Fixed WatchFace errors
    • Fixed AOD time data errors

    We encourage you to please report all bugs found to the Beta program community so that Samsung will analyze your feedback and implement fixes and/or improvements based on them.

    To update your watch to One UI 9.0 Watch Beta 2, first make sure that you are already in the beta program. Then, follow these steps:

    1. Open Wearable > Watch Settings, and navigate to System Update
    2. Tap on Check for Updates
    3. Press Download and Install
    4. Wait until the download and the installation is complete, then press Install
    5. Wait until the phone reboots successfully

    Make sure that you’re connected to a stable and fast Wi-Fi network to avoid high mobile data fees. Never interrupt the update in any way, or problems could occur later. Make sure that you apply all available updates once you update your phone for maximum stability. An update might take 10 to 20 minutes to apply, depending on the device and the type of the update being applied.

  4. Galaxy Tab S11 Series receives August 2026 Security Patch

    Samsung have revealed what vulnerabilities the August 2026 security patch has fixed earlier, as you can see here. This kind of update ensures that your phone, your tablet, and other devices become more secure as updates come along. Those updates are rolled out staggered, depending on your region and your device model. For instance, while the Galaxy S26 gets monthly updates, the Galaxy Tab S11 gets quarterly security updates.

    Samsung has recently began distributing the August 2026 security patch to the Tab S11 series. This is built on top of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy Tab S11 that uses Android 16 QPR2 as the base.

    This security patch has varying sizes for the tablets, and they bring the August 5th, 2026 security patch that you can see in the update info. This contains all fixes to vulnerabilities discovered since the last security patch released for these tablets.

    According to the latest data, we have found the following firmware versions released for the Galaxy Tab S11:

    • SM-X730: X730XXS8BZH4 [KOO]
    • SM-X736N: X736NKOS8BZH4 [KOO]
    • SM-X930: X930XXS8BZH4 [KOO]
    • SM-X936N: X936NKOS8BZH4 [KOO]

    To obtain the update, follow these steps:

    1. Open the Settings app
    2. Navigate to Software update
    3. Tap on Check for Updates or Download and Install
    4. You should be able to see the update information. Verify the version with your device model posted above.
    5. Click on Download, let it download, and click on Install. Make sure that you download the update through Wi-Fi.

    This security update should take 5 to 10 minutes maximum to install once your phone reboots. Make sure that you have the phone charged fully before initiating the update process to avoid interruptions. Back up your data to your PC, the cloud, or any other device in case the update went wrong. Don’t interrupt the update process, or you’ll experience problems later.

    Earlier, Samsung opened the One UI 9.0 Watch Beta Program for the Galaxy Watch8 for users in the US and in Korea to try out the new One UI Watch version, which was already released to the Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra2 revealed this year.

    While Samsung was working on One UI 9 Watch for the Galaxy Watch7 series, they opened the beta program. Starting from today, the Galaxy Watch8 series has officially started its beta program for One UI 9.0 according to a report made by Android Sage.

    The following firmware builds may have been selected:

    • SM-L310: L310XXU2ZZH3 [KOO]
    • SM-L300: L300XXU2ZZH3 [KOO]

    Samsung has opened the beta program, and you can join the beta program through Samsung Members if your watch, your region, and your carrier is eligible. It’s expected to be available in both the US and Korea only, with Bluetooth and LTE versions being eligible for participation in the beta program, accordong to the rollout history. T-Mobile is the only participating carrier in the US.

    You can participate to the Beta Program using Samsung Members on your phone using either a beta banner or the “Beta Program” page. In order to participate, follow these steps:

    1. Ensure that your Galaxy Watch and your phone are both from the USA (XAA) or Korea (KOO) to ensure maximum compatibility
      • On your phone, open Settings > About phone > Software information, and look for “Service provider software version”. Make sure it contains XAA or KOO.
      • On your watch, unlock Developer settings by opening Settings > About > Software information and tapping “Software version” 4 times, and refer to the second line that contains your watch’s CSC. Make sure it contains XAA or KOO.
      • If you’re using the Galaxy Watch in the USA, make sure that you are on the active plan with T-Mobile.
    2. Open Samsung Members
    3. Scroll down to Beta Program
    4. Search for entries like “One UI 9 Watch7 Beta”
    5. Read the description and follow the steps on the screen
    6. Press “Join”
    7. Check for software updates

    Please note that this Beta Program is for users to test all aspects of One UI 9 Watch and to report all bugs found.

    Make sure that you have stable internet connectivity when downloading the update, as it can be large in size. When installing the update, make sure that your watch is fully charged and in a cold environment to avoid interruptions caused by heat and by low battery. Never interrupt the update installation in any way during the process, or you may face problems later.
