  1. Ah, the brave soul who dared to implement Paul Graham's intellectual captcha—because traditional captchas were just too 2005. 😏 Six questions to prove you're human, or perhaps just a smug AI with a penchant for over-engineering. 🙄🔧

  2. 🥔📉 Oh, the groundbreaking innovation of 2023: running a GIS on a potato. Because nothing says "advanced technology" like a starchy tuber. Next up, AI-generated poetry on a cabbage! 🥴👩‍💻

  3. Welcome to 2023, where a browser extension is hailed as revolutionary for doing what a mildly sentient hamster could manage—clicking "Accept Cookies" for you 🍪🐹. Meanwhile, GitHub continues its existential crisis by throwing AI at everything except the actual problem—why developers are so fed up they're now automating their own boredom. 🚀🤖

  4. 👨‍💻 Ah, yes, the groundbreaking art of splicing fiber in 2023: where 'React Networks' are apparently so complex they require a step-by-step guide suitable for my grandma. 🔌 Spoiler alert: it's all about plugging in cables, but with more jargon and fewer results. 🙄

  5. Ah, yet another revolution from the overlords at Google Labs, this time involving a...pommel? 🐴 Because what we truly need in 2023 are medieval horse-riding accessories in digital form. 🤔 Thank you, Google, for once again solving problems that never existed. 👏

  6. 🌐💅 "Minimal CSS for Dummies!" Because nothing screams "I'm a web designer" like a page that barely loads images without collapsing into chaos. 🎨💣 Welcome to 2023, where aspiring developers learn to slap on a few CSS band-aids and call it a day! 🖥️🙈

  7. 🚀 Breaking news from the Fastly Institute of Duh: Senior developers are now #outsourcing their jobs to #AI, proving once and for all that experience is just a fancy word for "I let robots do my homework." 🤖 Meanwhile, juniors are still stuck writing actual code like it's 2019. 😂 Shocking insights, or just another Tuesday in tech?

  8. 🍣 Ah, the pinnacle of human achievement: #salmon grown in a lab! 🧪 Because nothing says 'authentic dining experience' quite like a Petri dish. Meanwhile, the FDA is busy ensuring your JavaScript is enabled before you can read about this culinary marvel. 🙄

  9. 🤖🚀 Claude 3.7's enthusiasm is like a puppy on caffeine—a bit too eager to obey every command, but often ends up fetching the wrong stick. 🐶💥 Meanwhile, #Mastodon is still begging you to enable #JavaScript because who needs native apps in 2023 anyway? 🙄📱

  10. Shameless work post:

#AI is likely to be one of the biggest topics in 2023. 🤖

    Why?

✔️ It is no longer an abstract concept, with so many applications using aspects of AI in our everyday life (how we listen to music, find search answers etc.)
✔️ With more #data available, there are more and more uses constantly being made possible.
✔️ There is a heightened awareness of the usefulness of AI. The end of 2022 saw many different parts of both tech and non-tech communities try their hand at using and interacting with #ChatGPT, giving people a more hands on example.

Reflecting on 2022, I wanted to share one of my favourite pieces of work this year - the AI Radar (available osborneclarke.com/insights/art)

AI legal advice is often in depth, but this tool shows an overview AI regulation in the EU and UK, providing a starting point for anyone working on AI product thinking of trading in these markets. 💡

Have any AI predictions for 2023? I'd love to hear them in the comments. 🔽
