Two days ago @bryanalexandee sent me an email asking if I knew anything about Solein the Finnish wonder food, just beginning to emerge from its prototype phase, which is apparently derived from electricity and air.

I did and had got three references to it that I had meant to put together and post. Spurred on by Bryan’s interest I finally turned them into a short note and posted them at https://www.owenkelly.net/23403/solein/

@urlyman @GeofCox I love what Rachel is doing with #PlanetCritical.. I also have some real concerns about #Monbiot - loved some bits of #Regenesis but found his ideas on #LabGrownFood and that #pesticides would still be needed all quite incongruous .. on one hand he revels in the biodiversity in the soil on his orchard then a few chapters later talks about how pesticides and fertilisers will still be needed which would destroy that life in soil.
